The Namibian long jumper is one of Africa’s top athletes. With a personal best of 8.27 m, he has already comfortably surpassed the magical 8-meter mark and impressively demonstrated his international caliber.

Among his greatest achievements are the silver medal at the 2024 African Championships 🥈 and a fifth-place finish at the 2025 African Championships. In addition, he is a two-time Namibian champion and has been among his country’s elite for years.

For Chenoult Lionel Coetzee, this is already his third appearance at the —a true regular whom we are always happy to welcome back to Essen. Perhaps his third appearance will see him make his next big leap at Kennedyplatz!
