Absolutely love this! saying what the world needs to hear! 🔥🙌

22/07/2026

I’m actually ashamed to admit this.

But I think this is important to share.

Shortly after this video was taken of me meeting my second baby, I started to panic that something wasn’t right.

And the one thing I had spent so much time saying I didn’t want to happen….happened, because of what I then did….

I started rubbing my baby quite forcefully,
trying to stimulate her to breathe.

Because the second I lifted her up and placed her on my chest, I knew.

Something wasn’t right.

And my baby needed support.

I remember my mind started racing, thinking about giving her breaths or trying to help clear her airway with my mouth, but I stopped myself in the very last second and I kissed her face instead.

The truth is, she was breathing.

And I know babies, especially after a water birth can sometimes need more time to transition into the world.

But my intuition was also right.

A few minutes after this footage was taken, my midwife supported my baby with an Ambu bag. Her oxygen levels came up, then dropped again, so it was then used a few more times.

After that, her oxygen level stabilised.

She was okay.

She didn’t really cry from what I remember, but she was safe. And I will forever be grateful for my midwife who supported us and helped her in those moments when I needed somebody to step in.

But the part that breaks my heart is this ⬇️

After my birth, I gave myself such a hard time because I felt like I had ruined this moment.

How heartbreaking is that?

A mother punishing herself because she tried to help her baby breathe?

This is how powerful the pressure around birth has become.

We see so many “perfect” birth moments on social media that when reality looks different, we can feel like we failed.

But birth is not a performance.

Babies don’t arrive to create a perfect moment.

And mothers are not failures because their babies need support.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is listen to that inner knowing.

Our intuition matters.

Our instincts matter.

This moment wasn’t a failure.

This was motherhood.

This was me listening to my baby and being exactly the mother she needed me to be in that very moment to

You’re hearing this for the first time here on the grid, but it’s been a change I’ve been considering for a while. I’m happy to finally make this little shift and share it with you. ✨

P.S Right now my courses are all in-person offered for the English speaking crowd living in Hamburg, Germany. An announcement my "upcoming" online courses will be announced very shortly! 🙌✨

One thing I’ve noticed after teaching so many Hypnobirthing clients is that women often arrive to my courses with a pre-written birth plan that’s less about what they truly want and more about what they’re willing to tolerate.

And it’s usually not because they don’t know what they want.

It’s because saying it out loud, or writing their true desires down on paper, feels incredibly vulnerable and scary…

And as a woman and the biggest “former” people pleaser there ever was in the world… 🫠

I completely understand.

As women, we’ve been conditioned to believe that staying safe means making ourselves smaller.

That we should soften our desires, lower our expectations, and choose the words that feel more acceptable for other people to feel comfortable and make us "likeable".

It even shows up in the language we use.

“I’d like to try for an unmedicated birth.”

“If possible…”

“I’ll just go with the flow.”

Instead of:

“I want an unmedicated birth.”

“I want to use the pool.”

“I want to be supported with patience and respect.”

And it’s because we’ve learnt that confidently expressing what we want makes us “difficult”.

That knowing what we desire somehow makes us demanding, high maintenance, or a burden.

But it doesn’t.

That’s all bu****it!

In my 1:1 Hypnobirthing course, we unlearn all of that.

We strip it back to what truly matters: your values, your choices, your preferences, and the birth experience you want to work towards.

Because you don’t get the birth you want by making yourself "likeable".

You get there by understanding your options, building confidence, and feeling empowered to use your voice.

You are allowed to want what you want for your birth.

You don’t need to apologise for it.

And you don’t need to make your desires smaller to make other people more comfortable and to "like you".

If you’re ready to start preparing for a birth that feels aligned with what you truly desire, DM me. I have just TWO spaces available until the end of August for my 1:1 in person Hypnobirthing course in Hamburg, Germany.
And from September onwards my mi

So many of us arrive at birth carrying years of being the “good girl.”

Be polite.
Don’t make a fuss.
Don’t ask too many questions.
Don’t be demanding.
Don’t disappoint people.

The thing is, we don’t leave those beliefs at the door when labour begins.

We bring them into the birth space with us.

They show up when you stay quiet instead of asking questions.

When you say yes when you really mean no.

When you’re more focused on keeping everyone else comfortable than listening to yourself.

That’s why birth preparation isn’t just about learning your options.

It’s about learning to trust yourself, use your voice, and take up space.

This is exactly the kind of work we do inside my 1:1 hypnobirthing course. And from July, I’ll also be offering a brand-new mini course and online options too. [ I am so excited for this! 🙌 ]

Send me a DM if you would like to know more about my courses or visit my website [ 🔗 in bio ] to book your course now. 💛

Last year, I was invited onto Sallyann Beresford ✨Bestselling Author • Podcaster podcast alongside Margo from P4Moms Dr. Margo K, DPT, CSCS, PCES to talk about postpartum prolapse, the lack of prolapse awareness in prenatal education, and why that needs to change.

As part of that conversation, I asked a question about prolapse awareness, which Margo kindly shared on her Instagram story. The responses from her followers speak volumes.

Prolapse shouldn’t be taboo.

Many people living with postpartum prolapse feel angry that nobody warned them it could happen or where to seek support. And as a mum who has experienced postpartum prolapse myself, and as a hypnobirthing teacher, I understand exactly why.

That’s why I have created a FREE 4-step guide to prolapse awareness for birth workers.

Not to create fear, but to support more honest, evidence-informed conversations about pelvic health in birth education.

Because if we can talk about tearing in childbirth education and ways to reduce the risk, then we can talk about prolapse too.

Birth education isn’t about fear.
It’s about informed choice, reducing risk where possible, and knowing where to find support if you need it.

Too many people are discovering prolapse exists only after birth. It’s distressing, and it doesn’t have to be this way.

If you agree and want to learn more, comment “PROLAPSE” below or send me a DM to download your FREE 4-step guide and start bringing prolapse awareness into your birth education courses.

Because knowledge is power 💪✨

………

You cannot escape birth.

The only way out is through.

Through each wave.

Through each breath.

The greatest power in birth is found in surrender.

Surrender to control.

Surrender to the moments when your body takes over and your mind lets go.

Surrender to the breath that carries you through each contraction.

One breath.

One wave.

One moment at a time.

Surrender to expectations.

Trust the unfolding.

Because birth is not something to control.

It is something to move through.

And perhaps that is where its greatest power lies,

not in controlling birth,

but in allowing birth to transform us. 🤍✨

[ P.S I talk a lot about surrender in my 1:1 hypnobirthing courses. Because In birth, you cannot fully let go if your mind still feels unsafe. Letting go requires preparation. Preparation that helps you feel safe enough to release control and trust the process. If you’re ready to prepare for birth, and live in Hamburg, Germany - I’d love to support you. Send me a DM ]

What if the way you view birth isn’t actually your belief?

What if it’s been shaped by everything you’ve absorbed over time, long before you ever questioned it?

The stories you’ve heard.
The films you’ve watched.
The conversations with friends who’ve had babies.
The language used around you.
Even that one “horror story” you can still remember so vividly.

And without realising it, all of this starts to build a picture of what you think birth is.

That’s why preparation isn’t just about understanding your body or knowing what to pack in your hospital bag.

It’s also about noticing something deeper:

What have I actually been taught about birth…and what do I genuinely believe myself?

In hypnobirthing, we gently start to untangle that.

You begin to see where your fears and expectations have come from and which ones you don’t need to carry into this experience.

And from there, something shifts.

Not by forcing positivity,
but by creating space for a different kind of confidence.

Because the way you think about birth doesn’t just stay in your mind it influences your whole experience.

This is where I can help you…

✨ I currently have space for 2 in person 1:1 hypnobirthing courses in June.

A deeply personal birth preparation course designed for you and your birth partner to find confidence and grounding, so instead of feeling fearful going into birth you can actually feel excited! ✨

If you’re ready to feel calmer, more informed, and more anchored in your own experience, DM me “BIRTH” or click the link in my bio to book your 1:1 course with me.
