The future of China’s outbound tourism – in case you missed it
Thank you to everyone who registered and participated in the GITF conference on Friday 6th August, and a special thank you to the panelists who provided us with insightful information about the future of China’s post-pandemic outbound tourism. We had a great turnout, and the discussion provided more paths to think about when it comes to the future of tourism from China.

“Floods usually occur due to two factors combined: one, heavier-than-normal rainfall and two, insufficient capacity of rivers to discharge the additional rainwater collected” Koh Tieh-Yong, climate scientist at Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Other scientists have warned that widespread dam construction has exacerbated climate change problems in China's flood zone, with connections between rivers, lakes, and flood plains, which once absorbed much of the region's annual summer downpours, disrupted.
