We play passionately and hard, but always find time for a great party afterwards. We offer a warm welcome and an "island refuge" for lovers of rugby whether in Hamburg for just a few months, several years or not seldom settling down here for ever. For over 40 years the club has hosted the Hamburg Exiles Rugby Sevens on the last May week-end, featuring international touring teams and German clubs alike.

A proper old-school rugby match.

The score does not reflect the battle the two teams fought, trading blows one after the other.

In a first half dominated by our Exiles, Rostock defended admirably and capitalised on the mistakes made by our Red and Blacks. Twice, the defence was breached.

In the second half, our players defended fiercely, letting the men in white and red through just once.

Thank you to Rostock for a great contest; we look forward to welcoming you

The last match of September.

To mark the start of autumn, we’ve got a tricky away trip to Rugby Rostock

We’re looking forward to facing a team that’s never an easy opponent. It’s been two years since our last match against them.

What a match! 🏉🔥

Both teams rose to the occasion to treat us to a thrilling spectacle full of twists and turns.

Despite fielding an incomplete line-up, the Exiles played a masterful first half, holding off their opponents’ attacks and taking the lead.
The second half was a different story; the lack of depth on the bench took its toll, and Odin Rugby were able to come back and overtake us on the scoreboard in the final minutes of the match.

One thing is certain: a match between our two teams is always a spectacle.
We’re already looking forward to our next encounter.

The Exiles are ready for their first away fixture, which promises to be both perilous and exciting.

It is the second match in a series of three in September, against a well-established Regionalliga side. The last encounter was epic, and we’re expecting the same spectacle this time round
