Yael Grob
#59
Solebang
playing since 2017
When playing against Yael, you‘d never guess that she‘s relatively new to the Ultimate world. She‘s able to build up an amazing speed, cutting toward wherever she‘s needed on the field, passing along the disc as easy and fast as she just got it. Her understanding of the game is impeccable, an asset she uses in both her offense and defense game. Her experience stems from both the european beach club championships (EBUCC) and the european beach championships (EBUC), where she represented Switzerland in the Mixed Elite team.
Yael is studying agricultural sciences in Zurich, which for most people would mean the they spend all their time studying: not Yael though, she spends all her time training. It‘s not unusual to see her training five evenings a week and then participating in a tournament that weekend. As she says it: when i don‘t feel like studying, i just go to training earlier.

Julia Leumann
#16
Zürich Ultimate
Playing since 2016
Julia has a really good overview of the field and is able to see every open space. By knowing where these spaces are, she makes clever cuts in them and almost always gets the disc without the defence even having a chance at stopping her. When she has the disc you don't need to worry, as she quickly passes it on to the next open women, may it be a nice around or daring long shot, she always makes the best decision.
Next to playing ultimate she‚ she‘s studying medicine in zurich, one of the finest swiss universities. Where she finds all the time and energy, no one‘s got
clue.

Babs Vranken
#29
Flying Saucers Luzern (FSL) / Crazy Dogs Stans
Playing since 2017
Whenever you’re in trouble on the field Babs is there to help you. She has an excellent understanding of the game. She can see the open spaces on the field and will make a perfect timed cut. Her endurance in running is incredible, it needs a lot for her to get tired.
Babs is also super strong in defense. She knows where to position herselfs and is really fast so it’s hard for her opponents to get the disc.
Babs works as a caretaker for disabled people. She is great with every kind of people and she cares a lot about others.
She‘s got a great sense of humor so it’s always super fun to spend time with her.

Carla Ziswiller
#66
Flying Colors
playing since 2017
Carla is our newest player in the team and hasn’t had as many chances to show off her skills at international tournaments. But you would never have guessed it. She stays calm with the disc and keeps a good overview of the field, seeing the open spaces and making plays on them.
When she isn’t chasing after the disc, she’s either playing volleyball or piano in her free time. To help finance all the ultimate frisbee tournaments, she works as a trained businesswoman in an IT company, where she has even led a few projects herself.

Rhea Schempp
#23
Disc Club Panthers
playing since 2010
Maybe Rhea wouldn‘t be someone you classified as a dangerous opponent at first, but as soon as you see her in action you‘ll change your mind. She demonstrates impressive skills in all areas of ultimate, from amazing hucks into the endzone and safe reset-throws, to defense catches and offense layouts. She has a lot of experience, and has played in many different national teams: u20, u24, elite and also attended the WUCC18 in Ohio with her hometeam, and this year she’s even taken a try at coaching the Mixed Beach Team! She strives to show, play and be her best in every training, practice day or game, and this intensity and passion is mirrored in the way she plays.
After working for a long time, Rhea has been taking time off to travel the world: last year she spent a couple months abroad, visiting Australia, various cities in the states, and Hawaii. Now that she‘s hooked on travelling, she has many more countries and places she wants to visit: she‘ll be sending us postcards again soon!

Lynn Bolliger
#12
Zürich Ultimate
playing since 2015
Whenever Lynn is on the field it‘s hammer-time! Her Hammer throws all across the field never cease to amaze and make for a great suprise moment. But not only her hammers manage to break every mark, her inside throws work just as well. Lynn has a great overview of the field as she has quite some experience - being in the national team since 2016 and participating at ebucc 2018.
With her laid back way Lynn handles working, studing geography, playing the accordeon, judo and ultimate easily.

Yannique Richard
#14
Zürich Ultimate
playing since 2013
Yannique is another player who brings a lot of experience to the team. She basically grew up on the sideline and you can see that in her playing. Not only does she have an amazing overview of the field, she’s a reliable handler as well as an explosive cutter. She always makes the right decision and executes that perfectly and safely.
Yannique is also one more artsy person on our team. She‘s in preliminary design studies in Zurich and that also shows in her day to day life. Yannique likes to draw, scribble and paint. And if you were just on a long phone call with her you‘ll be sure to get an amazingly woozly sketch-image.
