Walliser days/its all about the timing #2, Benne came with the goal to realise his dream on the , however 24 hrs before there were 20 cm of fresh snow and we decided to head instead to the Guide Alpine Ayas - Ayas Mountain Guides hut where I was operated on my hand (thank you!) and the complete . A day after from the valley we went for the traverse- a mega classic which would have been frequented as the Cosmique arete if it hadn’t been so remote- and down again. Both objectives I never guided at its fullest- only half of them so the completion of both was a mega adventure for me as well.

Dennis and Christian signed up for our „Mont Blanc in 6“ program, which ended a couple of days ago with our guide , Switching from the original plan they decided to head back to the Italian side and climb some classy classics. Every day out is a good day 😉

The route sometimes counts more or as much as the summit itself. Last weekend our Tal niv | Mountainspro program had a partial success reaching the summit, our guide .gross made it up and down safely and me and my sick 🤒 client settled on reaching the Slovak hut at 4,010m- a huge achievement on its own and a good decision to turn and go down as shortly after, the forecasted thunderstorm came a couple of hours earlier. Right now as far as conditions go I wouldn’t state that the routes on both sides are cruisy, with heat waves and thunderstorms, the big rockfall on the south flank and generally unstable conditions every mountaineer and guide needs to keep an eye out for alpine dangers and weigh the objective risk carefully before deciding on a “stop” or “go”. Anything else will be risky or reckless.
