Thanks to everyone for a successful 2016/17 rugby season, without our fans and sponsors our season would not have been half as fun.

As the season draws to a conclusion, so too does the era of ESC West Kaiserslautern's rugby program. The future of rugby in the Kaiserslautern area will be continued with the new rugby men's and women's teams at TuS 1882 Hochspeyer e.V. Join us in time for our Summer 7s adventure, as we travel Europe to different tournaments in search of competition, comradery and fun!

Men's practice is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1800 to 2000.

Women's practice is Mondays and Thursdays from 1800 to 2000.

Pitch address is Kirchstrasse 80, Hochspeyer on the lower field.

A successful weekend for Kaiserslautern Rugby as the men's team defeated RC Mainz 19 to 9 in a very passionate match of rugby.

The beautiful weather only made the local rivalry match more enjoyable as both teams played very well. Kaiserslautern prevailed in the end, with Setu Tupuimatagi, Robert Pennington and Corrado Vono each scoring a try apiece and Geri Funk converting two of the tries. RC Mainz was denied scoring any tries by a tireless Kaiserslautern defense and great try saving tackles by Robert Pennington, Dylan Montieth and JR Faave.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the brave scrumhalf from RC Mainz, Leonard Groh who suffered a serious injury and had to be taken to the hospital before the match could be played out. We wish you a safe and speedy recovery!

Join us today for rugby practice today as we prepare for our upcoming match against SC Frankfurt 1880 II!

Training begins at 18:00 and ends sometime around 20:00, every Tuesday and Thursday, address is Kirchstrasse 80, Hochspeyer, we practice on the lower pitch.

Last Saturday, March 11 Kaiserslautern Rugby played their first match of the Spring 2017/17 season against RG Heidelberg II.

Despite the best efforts of the team, we lost the match to RGH, 34 to 10. Despite the hard loss, our players had a lot of fun, everyone got to get on the field and we learned a lot about what we need to work on. Thanks to RGH for a tough, physical match as well a fun social allowing us to watch more rugby together!

Everyone played very well, individual effort was enormous, there's too many people to name but the two to stand out the most are our Back of the Match, Dylan Montieth, who scored both of our tries and our Forward of the Match, Matt Clear, who was a monster on the pitch and played his last match with Kaiserslautern.

Thanks to the fans and the Kaiserslautern Ladies Rugby Team who traveled to Heidelberg to support us!

Next match is away, against SC Frankfurt 1880 II on Saturday, March 18. Hope to see you there!

Today Kaiserslautern Rugby had the pleasure of playing in the first ever RV-RLP Friendly 7s Tournament. A lot of our men showed up in Mainz to enjoy a beautiful day of rugby and ended up placing 1st amongst our brother clubs of Rhineland-Pflaz.
Thanks to everyone who came out to play, special thanks to our wonderful fans who came out to support us and special thanks to RC Mainz for hosting a great tournament.

Last Sunday, Kaiserslautern Rugby hosted a rugby table at the KMCC Mall to generate interest in local rugby. The event was successful! Over twenty people gave us contact information and the team as well as our sponsors gained a lot of exposure.
