Are you passionate about pickleball, detail-oriented, and dependable?

Join the Level 1 Pickleball Referee Course, a key step toward officiating at national and international tournaments.

⚠️This is a demanding and time-sensitive course, requiring strict adherence to deadlines and completion of multiple tasks.

Requirements:

* Thorough understanding of USA Pickleball Rules and principles of fair play;
* Strong focus and communication skills;
* Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines;
* Advanced English (B2 equivalent or above).

Here are some key details:

- Our upcoming course will start in July 2026
- There is an online part, where classes, assignments and tests are required
- The course finishes with on-court practice and assessment, which will run for 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and in which participants are observed in turns by Certified Referees coming from the US
- These on-court sessions will take place in September either in Czech Republic (18-20th Sep) or Türkiye (25-27th Sep).
- Cost is 75€ for Part I (online) and 180€ for Part II (on-court). The fee for registration on the EPF website is 10€.

If you would like to apply, please use the QR code provided in the flyer and retake the test until you achieve a score above 90%. Then, forward the report you receive to [email protected] before the 22nd of June!

Due to the high demand for our courses and the current geographical distribution of our referees, priority will be given to applicants from the host countries (Czech Republic and Türkiye), neighbouring countries and those with low numbers of EPF referees.

If we receive more than 40 pre-registrations in total or more than 20 per location, the selection criteria described above will necessarily be applied. We will inform all applicants on the 23th–24th of June whether they have been accepted into the course and provide them the payment details.

We are grateful to the Czech Pickleball Association and the Turkish Tennis Federation for their generous offer to host us, by providing excellent venues and allowing pickleball to progress in Eastern/Southeastern Europe.

Es gibt einen neuen Ort für Pickleball in Karlsruhe! Wir sind beim VT Hagsfeld, in Schäferstrasse 26, dienstags und freitags. Es gibt Open Play (alle spielen mit) und Training. Die ersten zwei Termine sind kostenlos – also kommt vorbei und macht mit!

Last month‘s trip to Florida was probably one of my most incredible and memorable experiences in pickleball! 🤩 Thank you, Kelly Dawson, for your company and for being such a great organizer! 🙏 Not only did we attend a camp for 2 days with Scott Golden and other great trainers, but we played at the Fort (luxurious venue!), got trained and met amazing referees and even got to referee at the PPA in Cape Coral, surrounded by superstars. I was honestly starstruck, but managed to keep my composure as a referee. 😄 Another special thank you to our lovely hosts, Virginie Hough and Jörg. 🙏🙏

Haven’t had time to post much, but here finally a couple of photos from the Czech Open 2026, in Prague, last month. Wonderful hospitality and great organization by the Czech Pickleball Association. Thank you for the great company and team work, Cecilia d'Avos!

- 2. Düsseldorf Open, from the Youth Open. FIRST-EVER junior division in a german tournament! Congratulations, Dieter Mundschenk and Fabio Mancarella for the wonderful initiative and for the warm and familiar atmosphere.
- 4. Cologne Open, by Uli Jordan, a full house in a great venue!
