The Mills 45 is a high-performance racing yacht designed for top-level competition.

Somewhere between grand-prix racing and offshore performance, the Mills 45 is made to compete at the very highest level. And it proves it!
This boat has already claimed both the ORC World Champion and ORC European Champion titles.

All in all, a true championship boat built for serious racing.

Next up in our boat showcase – the newest addition to the boat park:
Cape 31 🚀

Pure power, pure precision.
The Cape 31 is a high-performance one-design keelboat built for ambitious racing. Light, stiff, and incredibly fast, it delivers grand-prix sailing in a compact format. With its wide beam, powerful sail plan, and responsive helm, the Cape 31 demands teamwork, timing, and tactical finesse.

Somewhere between the J/70 and a TP52, this is the boat to sail. One of the most upcoming one-design classes of the past years. All in all, a proper big boat that is still trailerable.

Welcome to our boat showcase!

Let’s start with the J/70.
The J/70 is a small keelboat. Direct, fast, and clearly performance-oriented, it is ideal for regattas, training, and for sailors moving from dinghies to bigger boats.
With its open cockpit and gennaker, the boat is very active and engaging to sail.

• Length: 6.93 m
• Beam: 2.25 m
• Draft: 1.50 m
• Upwind sail area: approx. 23 m²
• Gennaker: approx. 45 m²
• Crew: 4–5 people

Our club has three J/70s, and there’s a lot planned for next season – so stay tuned.

Are you interested in sailing J/70s and big boats (Cape31 & Mils45) and would like to become a member of a young and motivated club?

You should have the following:
- Extensive sailing experience
- The opportunity to train weekly in Kiel
- Be over 18 years of age

Back in the game with the Mills 45 Halbtrocken 4.5! ⛵🔥
Raced the Europeans in ORC 0 at — 17-boat fleet, 11 TP52s, and tough racing all week. Big battles, big lessons, and good vibes on board. 💪🌊

Season started 💥

Steering through uncertain winds, the Halbtrocken Sailing Team secured an second place at the Kiel Cup Alpha during Kieler Woche 2023. Two days of challenging soft and unpredictable winds were followed by a final day of 15 to 20 knots of breeze. With determination and teamwork, we conquered the last day, clinching two race victories. Proud of our team's performance and excited for the next adventure on the horizon!
