BIG CONGRATS, MIKE!
Mike Ravelli finished 2nd in the middleweight class at the SRS BGD Edition in Piedrahita, flying his SPHERA 2 RS.

What we’re most stoked about is the progress he has made this season. After stepping up from the STELLAR RS, Mike immediately felt comfortable under the SPHERA 2 RS. It’s great to see him on a wing that lets him compete at the front, show his full potential and concentrate on strategy, decision-making and pure racing.
Mike tells it best himself:
“Piedrahita was a completely new area for me, so I was very excited, but also a bit intimidated by the Spanish heat and some of the stories I had heard about flying there.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t quite as exciting as expected, so in the end we only managed to fly three tasks. Still, I finished second in the middleweight class, which I’m super happy with!
During the comp, I once again felt really confident under the SPHERA 2 RS. Even in the different and sometimes challenging conditions, I felt comfortable and could fully focus on flying, making good decisions and, most of all, enjoying the racing.
Piedrahita was an amazing experience, and finishing on the podium made it even more special!
The final task was the one that really stood out. I was 104th after the start, but over 109 km I fought my way back through the field and managed to finish 16th in goal. Definitely a flight I won’t forget anytime soon!”
