Some flights start out as just another day at launch. This one turned into something else.

On June 26, Stephan Gruber took off from Zillertal on a preserial CHILI6. 11 hours and 57 minutes later, he landed having flown a 304.42 km FAI triangle, in conditions that didn’t let up the whole way.

304 km. On a B-wing. That’s not a typo. The CHILI6 is EN/LTF B certified, built as a high end intermediate, not a competition weapon.

That’s exactly the point of the CHILI6. We didn’t build it to be fast on paper. We built it to stay fun and usable at full power, hour after hour, even when the air gets demanding. High profile stability damps the turbulence instead of amplifying it, the pilot gets clear feedback instead of constant correcting. That’s what builds trust in the wing, and it’s what let Stephan keep making confident, safe calls for almost 12 hours straight.
