Kinda chic to be a part of the Munich Kangaroos 🦘

17/09/2026

Not every season ends with a trophy, but this one ended with a heart full of pride. 🦘❤️

Both our Roos men’s and women’s teams left everything on the field in Stuttgart for the AFLG Finals this past weekend. While the results didn’t go our way on the scoreboard, making it to the grand final with both teams is a massive achievement and a testament to the sweat, grit, and heart every single player put into this year.

Huge congratulations to the Berlin Crocs on their double victory and taking the trophies back home—well deserved! A massive thank you to the Stuttgart Giants for putting on another fantastic Finals Day and hosting an unforgettable after-party to close out the year. 🍻🏉

The scoreboard only tells half the story. The best part of this club will always be the community. From the first match of the season to the last song sung at the after-party, this team showed up for each other every step of the way. We celebrated the wins, fought through the losses, and made memories that go way beyond footy.

Shoutout to Glenda for kicking her very first AFLG goal! Naturally, a celebratory shoey was in order to mark the milestone. 👟🍺

We didn’t take home the championship this time, but we’re walking away with an incredible season behind us and a whole lot of fire for the next one. 🦘💪

Taking the win 166 (25.16) to 39 (6.3) against a tough Stuttgart Giants side, the men put on a show from start to finish.

Tense Thriller in Cologne! 🦘⚔️

An absolute nail-biter in Cologne! Back-and-forth all game, a depleted bench, and maximum pressure—the boys put on a hell of a performance even if the scoreboard didn't go our way in the end:
- Rheinland Lions: 90
- Munich Kangaroos: 76

Match Highlights:
🏃‍♂️ Cal ran all the way up from the backline to slot a beauty!
👏 Huge shout-out to Jack playing his very first AFLG match!
🩹 Held together entirely by ice packs, bandages, and pure willpower by the end.

Win or lose, weekends away with both the men’s and women’s teams cheering each other on and exploring the city are what make this club special.

Now all focus turns to THIS SATURDAY! We host the Semi-Final right here in Munich! Come out and support the Roos! 💙⚪💛

Two Wins on the Road in Cologne! 🦘🔥

Footy in Cologne last Saturday felt less like a league match and more like Mad Max, but the girls still took home two massive wins! 🦘🔥

vs. Rheinland Lions: 5.5 (35) – 2.2 (14)
vs. Berlin Crocs: 5.6 (36) – 1.0 (6)

What the photos won't tell you:

🚀 Katri launched a rocket so hard off the goalpost it almost landed back in Munich
🪄 Ivonne decided teammates are optional and just kicked the ball to herself
🏜️ We played in a Mad Max style desert bowl—cacti are currently being photoshopped in for realism
