The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® was created by Romanian-born Hungarian Juliu Horvath.

Juliu credits all of his experiences in swimming, gymnastics, ballet, and creation of The GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods, as the catalyst for creating the Gyrotonic equipment — his deep experiences with movement orientation and understanding of the body, where it needs and wants to move. In other words, the equipment was built to facilitate the movement he was experiencing in his body.

The incredible healing tool that is the GYROTONIC® Method 🙌 Thank you WAV Physical Therapy & Movement for sharing this wonderful story #GyrotonicLife ======== Improving gait mechanics for below-knee amputation with prosthesis! Using the Gyrotonic Method to stimulate coordination and proprioceptive connection through the “entire” limb. When this patient came to the clinic, he was having trouble with fluid gait and could only flex the affected knee to 80 degrees. After three sessions, (which included some manual manipulation of the knee joint and patella) he was able to flex the knee to 105 degrees! So exciting to see such good progress so quickly. The Gyrotonic Method is such a powerful tool!
