Achilles International Germany

Pia vertrat Achilles International beim Garchinger Rückenwindlauf 2026.

Am 26. Juli war Pia die einzige Achilles-Starterin. Sie wurde von Hannah als Guide begleitet. Hier ist ihr Bericht:

„Der Garchinger Rückenwindlauf über10 km war am Sonntagvormittag, den 26.07.26. Ich war mit Hannah als Guide da. Es waren ideale Laufverhältnisse: leicht bedeckt, ca. 20 bis 22 Grad, Wir mussten früh aufstehen, denn der Start war schon um 9.30 Uhr.

Gut gelaunt starteten wir vom Garchinger Business Campus kurz entlang einer Straße und die Strecke ging dann weiter um den Garchinger Badesee. Trotz leichtem Gegenwind schafften wir die Runde in 59 Minuten, blieben somit unter 1 Stunde und Hannah und ich kamen glücklich ins Ziel.“

Ein Wochenende voller Sportfreude! 🏃‍♂️💛

Unsere Achilles-Athleten und ihre Guides waren gleich bei zwei Laufveranstaltungen am Start – beim Blutenburglauf und beim Rückenwind-Lauf. Mit strahlenden Gesichtern, viel Teamgeist und noch mehr Motivation wurde jede Ziellinie gemeinsam gemeistert.

Ob im Ziel mit Applaus und Freude oder Seite an Seite auf der letzten Metern – genau das macht Achilles aus: gemeinsam laufen, gemeinsam feiern. 🧡

Achilles International Germany München war beim Parkrun im Olympiapark am Start – mit und ohne Beeinträchtigung, Seite an Seite. Genau das macht unseren Club aus: Inklusion durch Laufen, gegenseitige Unterstützung und die Freude an jedem einzelnen Kilometer.

Ob als Athlet oder als Guide – bei uns zählt nicht die Zeit auf der Uhr, sondern das Miteinander auf der Strecke.

A-Team Achilles International
Wie jedes Jahr war Achilles International Germany mit dabei. Der Verein bringt Läufer mit und ohne Behinderung über ehrenamtliche Guides zusammen und zeigt: Laufen verbindet, ganz ohne Barrieren. 💙

Seit 2011 macht Achilles International Germany das möglich – ob beim Lauftreff im Olympiapark oder bei großen Stadtläufen wie diesem. Inklusion, die man nicht nur sieht, sondern mitläuft.

London was buzzing this Sunday—and those Achilles shirts were everywhere! 💚
Following the historic race in Boston last Monday, the Achilles family was reunited once again in London. It is a goosebump-inducing moment every time athletes and guides from around the world come together to demonstrate that sport knows no boundaries.

🤝 Global Team Spirit
From the USA to Europe, from Asia to Germany—Achilles International’s global network has once again sent a powerful message of inclusion in London.
• Guides Worldwide: Dozens of volunteers from a wide variety of nations served as "eyes" and pillars of support for their athletes.
• International Friendship: For us, the London Marathon is more than just a race; it is the biggest family reunion of the year—an occasion where we tear down barriers together.

We at Achilles International Germany were also at the starting line with two athletes! We are incredibly proud to be part of this global movement.
A special highlight: While our entire team in London truly surpassed themselves, one of our athletes completed the "Double"—crossing the finish line in Boston and now receiving a medal in London as well. 🏅✨ A monumental feat of endurance that demonstrates what is possible through sheer determination and community!

What a morning! Before things get serious tomorrow at the TCS London Marathon, we joined our Achilles friends from around the world today to loosen up our legs in sunny Hyde Park. 🌳✨
It is inspiring every single time to see just how big our global family is. Whether from Germany, the USA, or right here in the UK—we are all united by the mission of Achilles International: to break down barriers and bring people with disabilities to the starting lines of the world. 🏁❤️
A special highlight: The motivating words from the Achilles UK Board, who welcomed us this morning at the shakeout run (be sure to check out the video!). Thank you for the warm welcome to London! 🎤🤝
Now it’s time to put our feet up, carb load, and soak up the anticipation. We are ready for 42.195 kilometers of pure goosebumps! 🔥
