What a grand opening: We had the honor of welcoming the Mayor of Ottobrunn! Florian Schardt 🏛️✨
On top of that, the brass band provided incredible energy and goosebumps, warming up the hall in style! 🎺🥁🔥

The clashing of the shinais, the echoing kiai, and pure adrenaline on the shiai-jo – anyone experiencing this live can feel the power. Kendo isn’t just a sport. It’s the perfect blend of lightning-fast reflexes, intense focus, and true fighting spirit! ⚡️🧘‍♂️

Victory in Straubing! ⚔️🔥 Crazy weeks! Four Kendoka from Hibarikai Ottobrunn took their exams and delivered: We are coming home with a new 6th Kyu, two 5th Kyus, and a 2nd Kyu!🏆. All of them really had some tough weeks of preparation🥵. Budo isn’t easy, but that’s the point. Yesterday was the last keiko of the week. Final preparation before the exams this weekend.
Everyone showed what they can do and yes, they can do quite a lot😉. Even if I sometimes pretend not to notice 😏

And another special moment. Our new 6th kyu stepped into their first Bogu.
A bit of excitement, a bit of chaos, and probably the question why everything suddenly feels so tight. Welcome to the sweatshop!

Yeah, It is an exciting time for our young club.
I am grateful for every step and every bit of Budo spirit everyone brings to the dojo.

I will keep working harder to give Budō in the south of Munich a bit more shine.But before that, let’s enjoy the weekend in the Beergarden🍺.

昨日は今週最後の稽古でした。週末の審査に向けて最後の準備です。
みんな自分の力をしっかり見せてくれました。ほんまに、できてますで。ほんま誇りに思います🙏🏼😭🙏🏼

そして新しい６級のメンバーが初めて防具を着けました。
ドキドキしたり、ちょっとバタバタしたり、なんでこんなにきついんやろと思ったり。それも全部ええ経験やね。

まだ若い道場ですが、とてもいい流れを感じています。
みんなの気持ちと努力に心から感謝しています。

これからも南ミュンヘンで武道が少しでも輝くように、もっと頑張ります。ゆっくり丁寧に、そして足さばきよくいきましょう。

Yesterday was a powerful Keiko. We focused on Harai techniques and really pushed ourselves.
It is challenging for me to explain techniques physically and mentally-
You can explain every technique with a YouTube clip, but never the feeling for the moment, the distance, the timing. That only comes through practice, through failure, through doing it again and again…

Kendo is an endless process. Just when you think you understand something, it quietly changes its face.

Let’s keep going.
