Invisible mending is not taught in sewing schools. At the Cashmere Clinic we have spent years perfecting the technique — and in our masterclass, we break it down step by step. For client repairs we always mend with matching yarn so you can’t see,  where the stitches are placed. During the masterclass, we work with contrasting thread so every stitch becomes clearly visible and easy to replicate. All tools provided. Small group. No prior experience needed.

How to steam cashmere - A few important rules from the Cashmere Clinic:
Always use a steamer, never an iron. And don’t press the steamer directly onto the knit — this can make the surface shiny.
Keep it a few centimetres away and gently glide over the fabric. Save this for your next cashmere care day.

White, ribbed and fine-knit — not the easiest combination for a repair.
But with the right technique and a lot of precision, the hole disappears into the knit. The result: a white sweater that looks as good as new.

After washing and drying your cashmere, steaming is one of the final steps we do at the Cashmere Clinic. It helps relax the fibres and makes the knit look and feel softer.
