Two more days till I‘m off on the adventure of a lifetime! The in Bhutan covering over 200 km in 5 days with mountain passes over 5000 meters elevation.

Today’s training was an easy hour jog, some stretching and sitting with the oxygen mask on set at 5000 meters for an hour 😵‍💫

I can’t thank my sponsors enough! Grateful to for the shoes and tights, for the cold-weather gear, for the nutritional supplements, .de for the foot protection, for the skin protection, and for the -30 degree sleeping bag!

Easy Sunday long jog through the Bavarian fields. Three weeks from today I will fly to Bangkok on my way to Bhutan for the to raise awareness of climate change.

The Snowman Race is partnering with Singapore-based tech company Capture to help the 30 athletes live track and analyse emissions from journeys to and from Bhutan. The team behind Capture are enabling live tracking and analysis of our journey emission data, which we are sharing openly in the hope that we can encourage others to learn more about their emissions too.

The race is 220 km long and crosses Himalayan passes as high as 5470 meters (18,000 feet) above sea level.

The email read, "It is official, you are invited to run the 2022 Snowman Race Bhutan." It's been nearly a month since I got the official invitation to participate in Bhutan, that magical kingdom nestled in the Himalayas between China and India. Humbled and honored at receiving this privilege, and after taking time to process that, and now seeing my name on the website confirming that it wasn't just a dream, it's time to face the fact that in just over a month I will face the greatest physical challenge of my life: 220 kilometers in 5 days with mountain passes up to 5470 meters (nearly 18,000 ft) above sea level (higher than Base Camp Mt. Everest). Only 30 athletes in total and most with a long list of hundred mile races, world records, Olympic qualis, FKTs, and podium visits too numerous to count have been asked to participate. Yes, I've done some cool races and have spent many days, nights and more days on my feet without sleep, but I've still had to ask myself a hundred times over the past month, "What am I doing in this group of super-athletes?" And the same answer comes up each time: "You may not be the fastest nor the strongest, and you won't be the first to reach the finish, but you will cross that line, not without suffering, but most certainly having the experience of a lifetime." Love life 💙🏃🏼‍♀️

Event to focus on Climate Awareness 💪🏻

Thank you .rei55 and the rest of the Snowman Race team!
