First Day at our first europeans is in the books📚

Light winds made the day tricky, But we are ready to push it tomorrow!🤩

This Week we’ve been sailing the annual week 42 Camp in Aarhus🌆⛵️

Despite the weather being pretty rough it has been a fun week and we’ve learned a lot🌊❄️💨

Now it’s time to move our training to vilamoura for the next three weeks where we will be sailing the Europeans aswell!🤟☀️

We had some ups and downs (unfortunately our mast broke 1. Day🥴)

Despite a broken mast we still had a good event, we learned a lot and we are now ready to get back home and train even harder!💪🥳

Our amazing club Aarhus Sejlklub and it’s members have taken a huge step forward in the process of helping young sailors on the path to the Olympic Games, by creating the brand new “Aarhus Sejlklubs Talentfond”.
The fonds primary purpose is to provide assistance in the economical aspect of sailing, to young sailors who fights to reach their main-goal - The Olympic Games.
The fond has already received an astonishing 17.000 dkk., which will make a huge positive impact on sailors like ourselves.

Hola!🕺

After junior worlds in July we went straight back on the grind in Aarhus, and we have since been sailing 5 times a week🥳 and catching up on school😴

We’ve currently moved our setup to Hellerup for the next couple of days to sail the nationals⛵️ an event we’ve been looking very much forward to!

Once again we have to thank Peter Brøgger for all of his amazing photos!🤩🤩

Ready for our first JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP together in the 49er☀️

Yesterday the day went by taking the boat to measuring and making sure everything was working properly. Finally finishing the day of with a quick test run on the water, to make sure we still knows what we are doing, which was amazing, a feeling we both had missed a lot , but know we are back feeling very good, and ready to take the day by storm.

Kieler Woche and our first big 49er competition is now done and dusted!💨

Despite difficult wind conditions throughout the whole event, with almost no wind, 8 races were in the end completed. And it went over all expectations, we sailed consistently and was in general able to keep up with the extremely impressive fleet that the 49er-fleet is, which resulted in us ending up in 49th place out of 64 starting boats.

After a long last day yesterday, where we approached the harbour at half past seven, the camp is packed up, and we have arrived safely back in Aarhus, and gotten some well needed rest😴

Next up is youth Worlds in Travemünde, North Germany, in end July, which we are looking very much forward to!

Kieler Woche - day 1☀️

This is the first international 49er event Lauritz and I are participating in.🎉
We have been looking forward to this event the whole year, and it’s been our motivation to keep on grinding through the many cold winter trainings🥶 and now it’s Kieler Woche!

Unfortunately the wind was nowhere to be found today, which resulted in no racing!

But we used the time 🕰️ waiting on shore to make sure the boat is faster 💨 and shinier ✨ than ever before!

The Kieler Woche event is for the 49er fleet from the 17th to the 21st of June, where the 21st is medal race day, which is only for the top ten boats in the fleet🏅

We are looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully with just a bit more wind, so we can get out on the water, and do what we love⛵️

For us this competition is mainly going to be used to gather experiences, and to give us a guideline on what we need to train on the rest of the year💪
