Can’t wait to do yoga and mindfulness with our lovely group tonight!
It’s so difficult to maintain a gentle daily structure, and connect with our bodies and minds when we feel caught up in hectic hamster wheel life.
Our weekly commitment to meet Thursday evenings is so helpful for me. See you soon!

Vasisthasana | Side Plank
Here are two versions of Side Plank.
Thank you for this beautiful demonstration of the pose!
Side Plank requires a lot of hip and shoulder stability. It’s great for improving your balance and for strengthening the obliques, wrists, arms, shoulders, outer hips and legs (Full-body workout💯🙌🏾😊)!
Don’t worry if you can’t do these shown variations yet. I will make sure to offer you lots of modifications next time we meet online!🥰😅
Enjoy!

These are lovely ways to stretch the spine and the shoulders complex. Sit on the floor or a chair. You can practice theses poses as a little Cat/Cow sequence or hang out in each pose for a minute or two. Breathe slowly, in and out through the nose, and see if this might help release any tension.
Enjoy! 🌸

In one week’s time I’ll finally be reunited - in this beautiful spot - with my sister after not seeing each other for 9 months.
I can’t wait to see you Sara 💙💙

I am always amazed at the abundance of our garden. Every week it offers us new sources of pleasure and gratitude.
The psychologist and meditation teacher Jack Kornfield writes about abundance:
“The state of abundance is connected with a deep sense of gratitude. When we open to abundance, we can enjoy the fog lifting from the morning’s melting snow, and the steam rising from the hot bowl of tomato soup on our lunch table.
We can appreciate the half smile of the tired waitress, the silver crescent of the moon at twilight, the unstoppable laughter of children in the schoolyard, and celebrate the fact that we are here, breathing and alive, on this marvelous earth.”
Have a wonderful Sunday ☀️💖

Dealing with a challenge without self-compassion vs with self-compassion ♥️

Every year I’m taken aback by how stressful the last weeks before the summer holidays are.
And as usual my back started to hurt. I went to see a chiropractor whose advice was so simple and so helpful:
Do 10 squats between every meeting!
It has been my intention all year to do just 15 minutes of yoga every day but I haven’t been able to find that time in the past couple of months.
It didn’t occur to me that I could break up the 15 minutes of exercises and sprinkle them throughout the day.
So now I’ve made a plan for all my small breaks (see story). And my backache is gone!
