Two unique old cut diamonds are beautifully showcased in exquisite, personalised settings.

Both of these gems were fashioned over a century ago, predating the advent of modern diamond-cutting methods. They were designed to dazzle in candlelight rather than artificial lighting, which gives them a distinct brilliance in contrast to modern-cut diamonds. We are absolutely enamoured with them.

It's an ordinary day in Antwerp's diamond district, with a focus on colour grading diamonds.

We flip the diamonds over and arrange them in a petite tray crafted from white paper. Utilising either natural light or a specialised diamond lamp, we tilt the stones to observe their colour variations. The accompanying photos capture these colour differences remarkably well.

For those seeking a colourless diamond, it's essential to avoid any hints of yellow. However, by making slight concessions on colour, you can afford a significantly larger diamond within the same budget.
