Junior Roller Derby in Copenhagen

Today is the day! 4 of our Troublemakers are heading out to Philadelphia and representing Copenhagen Roller Derby by playing for Team Europe Junior Roller Derby at the JRDA World Cup. Asta LaVista, E-bomb, Nutter and Salty Siggy will be joining other juniors from Sweden, France and Belgium on this amazing journey. They will be playing on the 23-24 July (next Monday and Tuesday) against teams from USA, Australia, Canada and Great Britain. You can follow their exploits and cheer them on by watching them on the wftda.tv live stream. Troublemakers taking on the world!! :)

Troublemakers at the World Cup

Our beloved former Troublemaker, Violent Vilda, is making their grown-up debut for Malmö Roller Derby - Crime City Rollers C-team today even though she is only 15!! (She really is THAT good!) - The best part is that the game is against our big sisters from the Copenhagen Roller Derby B-team, so we will all be there watching. Have a great game today Vilda - you deserve this sooooo much - and we'll make sure that we cheer for you too! :)

Kæmpe stort tillykke til Troublemakers Violent Vilda og Blondie som har spillet i en 'venskabs' kamp i dag for ikke mindre end Copenhagen Roller Derbys A-hold imod Aarhus Derby Danes. Vi er simpelthen så stolt af jer - I er for seje!

Happy birthday to us! 3 years ago, the Troublemakers had their very first training session. 2 skaters showed up - Salty and Nutter - and they are both still on the team. It has been a long and amazing journey and we are so excited for what the future may bring. And to the Troublemakers both young and old - you are the most awesome people on the planet! :)

The Troublemakers are proud to announce that they are now members of the JRDA (Junior Roller Derby Association). We're really looking forward to this collaboration and how it can help build and strengthen not only Junior Derby in Denmark, but also across the whole of Europe. Exciting times lay ahead! :)

Næste weekend kommer en hel masse seje skaters from Europa og Amerika til Danmark for at give den gas til den første Junior Roller Derby turnering i Europa nogensinde! Copenhagen Troublemakers glæder sig SÅ meget! Kom og være med! :)

This weekend our derby buddies of Copenhagen Roller Derby will be heading to Belgium for SKOD - a skate odyssey, and the Troublemakers want you to know that they will be watching, cheering and screaming as you kick butt in Ghent! Giv den gas, og ha' det sjovt! :)

Leaving Brussels an hour later than we were supposed to leave, we arrived for the second half of the first game of this triple header. A junior game where the Dead Dragibus - Roller Derby Calaisis faced Junior Roller Derby in Copenhagen aka The Troublemakers.

Right after that, serious things begun for the Brussels Derby Pixies - Roller Derby League B-Team aka Atomium Kittens facing our hosts The Black Tagada - Roller Derby Calaisis.

And before the bus departure, an half time of the last game of the day with the Roller Derby Dunkerquois - "Les Sirènes Hurlantes" who faced Roller Derby Tourcoing

Så er The Troublemakers tilbage fra en fantastisk tur til Frankrig. De mødtes kl. 6 i lufthavnen lørdag morgen og var hjem igen kl 22.30 søndag aften, træt men glad. De spillede to super derby kamp - den første tabte de en tæt, spændende kamp til Lille Roller Juniors 165-184, men de tog en sejr mod de Dead Dragibus - Roller Derby Calaisis 234-137. Vi poster nogle billeder af kampene i de kommende dage, så holder øje. :)
