🏑💚 Slagelse Showed Their Strength, but Gentofte Gators Fought Until the End 💚🏑

After several strong performances and positive results over the last few weeks, Gentofte Gators travelled to Slagelse full of confidence and determination. The team arrived highly motivated and ready for another tough challenge. 🔥

From the opening whistle, Slagelse applied intense pressure and searched for openings in the Gentofte defense. However, Wouter was outstanding at the back, making crucial tackles and interceptions throughout the match, while Hidde produced a string of excellent saves in goal to keep the Gators competitive. 🛡️🥅

As the game progressed, Gentofte grew stronger and began to find their rhythm. The Gators showed courage on the ball, played their way out of pressure with confidence, and created several promising opportunities. Their teamwork and determination were evident, but despite some good chances, the final pass and clinical finish proved elusive. For the first time this season, Gentofte were unable to get on the scoresheet.

The decisive factor came from Slagelse's penalty corners. The home side earned a number of corners throughout the match and proved ruthless in converting them. All three goals came from penalty corners, giving Slagelse a 3-0 victory. 🎯

While the result was disappointing, there were many positives to take away. Gentofte Gators never stopped fighting, continued to support one another, and showed great character from the first whistle to the last. 👏💚

It was especially impressive to see the team play their way out of difficult situations, work tirelessly for each other, and maintain their belief throughout the match. Sometimes the scoreline does not tell the whole story, and this was certainly one of those occasions.

The journey continues, and this young Gentofte team keeps developing and improving every week. 🚀🏑

🏑🔥 BATTLE OF GENTOFTE 2026 🔥🏑

Sikke en fantastisk hockeydag i Gentofte! ☀️💙

🏑💙🔥

Match Report: Gentofte Men's vs. KH
What a great game in Valby!

The atmosphere was electric as both teams took to the field, showcasing their skills and determination.

Copenhagen took an early lead, going up 2-0 by half-time. Despite being behind, both teams were fully engaged in the match, with Gentofte showing promise and resilience. Unfortunately, Gentofte had a goal disallowed, which added to the tension of the game.

However, Gentofte fought back fiercely! A penalty stroke was awarded, and Bastien stepped up to convert it successfully, bringing Gentofte back into the game. The team worked tirelessly to regain control, and their efforts paid off when Ethan scored, leveling the match at 2-2.

KH responded by taking the lead once again with a well-worked goal, making it game on. Gentofte, however, maintained great composure under pressure. They earned a well-deserved penalty corner, and with a fantastic variation, Jens scored a dramatic equalizer in the last second of the match, ending the game in a thrilling 3-3 draw!

🌟 Gentofte Hockey Club is Growing! 🌟

It’s only Wednesday, but it has already been an amazing week for Gentofte Hockey Club!

Today, we received a wonderful gift for the entire club. New boards have been installed around our hockey pitch, ensuring that our many hockey balls no longer roll underneath the fence. This will make life much easier for both players and coaches while creating even better conditions for our hockey community.

🙏 A huge thank you for this generous gift. It is an investment that will benefit all members of the club for many years to come.

And there is another piece of great news that takes us back four years.

Back then, a small hockey seed was planted at Børnehavnen Dragen, right next to Tjørnegård School. A dedicated and courageous educator brought 10 children to the hockey field to experience hockey for the very first time. It may have seemed like a small step back then, but today we can clearly see the impact those efforts have had.

The initiatives we have implemented, and continue to implement, to introduce hockey to our local community are working. More children, young people, and families are discovering the joy of hockey, and our club continues to grow. 💚🏑

Let’s celebrate this progress with a great training session tomorrow. And even better, bring a friend, classmate, colleague, or neighbour and show them why hockey is one of the greatest sports in the world!

We are always looking for more players for our youth teams, women's teams, and men's teams. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, you are more than welcome to join our community. 💪

Bring a friend to training and become part of Gentofte Hockey Club!

🏑 U16 Season Kickoff – Gentofte x KH x Hørning: A Unique Hockey Family

What a brilliant start to the U16 season in Gentofte! Our joint team from Gentofte, KH and Hørning showed exactly why this collaboration is something truly special — three clubs, one spirit, and a group of young players who play with heart, humour and unstoppable energy.

Two matches were played on opening day:

Game 1 – vs. Sørbymagle/Lyngby
A tight battle across all four periods, swinging back and forth with great intensity. In the end, it came down to who was the sharpest in front of goal — and a razor‑sharp Hørning striker secured a well‑deserved 3–2 victory. A perfect way to start the season!

Game 2 – vs. Slagelse
Just like the first match, this one was a back‑and‑forth thriller. Again, the deciding factor was cold nerves in the circle. This time Slagelse were the more clinical finishers and took the win 3–1.

But the real highlight of the day?
The incredible team spirit between Gentofte, KH and Hørning.
The way these young players support each other, laugh together, fight together and grow together is something truly unique in Danish youth hockey.

A huge thank you to our tireless coach Andreas, who keeps the energy high and the smiles even higher.

“It should be fun to play hockey” — and with this U16 crew, it absolutely is.

🏑 U8 Hockey Adventure Day – Gentofte Hockey Club in Slagelse

Our U8 team travelled to Slagelse for this season’s first tournament day — and what a fantastic start it was! The youngest future hockey stars of Denmark played match after match with huge smiles, great spirit, and endless enthusiasm.

The pitch was buzzing with energy, teamwork, and pure joy. Every goal, every tackle, every cheer reminded us why we love this sport.

A big thank you to all participating clubs for creating such a great atmosphere — and a special thanks to Slagelse for being outstanding hosts.

We’ll see you all again soon for even more hockey fun.
“It should be fun to play hockey” — and today, it truly was.

🌟 Gentofte Hockey Klub åbner et nyt kapitel! 🏑💙
