Mikkeller Running Club

The idea of Mikkeller Running Club is to stay fit through running. The club is founded by Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, who is also the creator and owner of Mikkeller.

That makes us capable of enjoying even more of the good life – which includes state of the art food and drinks. Obviously our main passion is beer – especially drinking beers – and sometimes (preferably) in large scales. It is not a coincidence that Mikkel chooses to focus on running. He used to be quite the talent, and as a youngster he performed very well on the tracks, which earned him scholarships in the US, and some Danish records. However, speed is not the main target in Mikkeller Running Club. Having fun and great social relations is our top priority and we´re just proud to see MRC members take part in races and events around the world. Every first Saturday of the month we meet up for a training session. Meeting point may vary due to the nature of the activity – but we always finish up at the clubhouse - a bar that serves Mikkeller-beer, where we share a couple of beers – sometimes our own Mikkeller Running Club beer. You do not have to be an experienced runner or athlete to join MRC…all we ask, is for you to come join us and have fun staying healthy – and sometimes a bit tipsy!!! We hope to see you wearing the shirt around the world….

Do you want to run the World Championship HM/Copenhagen Half 2026?

If so, we have some bibs available to MRC runners (normal entry fee). To get a bib, you simply need to send us a message via Messenger/Facebook including your e-mail (needed to sign you up).

We’ve secured a few bibs for the Berlin Marathon this year (September 27th).

Each bib will cost €330 (this is the official price plus tax).

And remember: this isn’t just a race. It’s a whole weekend of running, beers, and good times with a big afterparty with MRC Berlin 🍻

🍻 MBCC 🍻

We’re still buzzing from it all – especially from seeing so many of you show up to run, party, and be part of the madness.

During the week, we hosted sightseeing runs, a bakery run, a full Mikkellerthon, a classic social run and a beer mile – because why not?
Chapters came in strong! We counted more than 15 nationalities on the social run. But most importantly: it felt like the entire MRC world came together.

That feeling of being part of something bigger – that’s what MRC is all about. And we’re proud to share it with every one of you.

Today, MRC’s top line took on the Beer Lovers Marathon. Led by Mikkel Bjergsø, the six-man unit geared up and ran proudly for the MRC flag.

Get ready for this awesome out n about Copenhagen next week!

A guided jog to visit almost all Mikkeller locations in the city. The run will be around 11k.

We start at Mikkeller HQ and the run is guided by our great MRC captains and MRC President Helle. Besides getting a drink at every stop - we found some special bottles for you - you will also receive a cap on the day of the tour.

You cannot take part in the run unless you have a ticket, as this is limited to 20 people

By purchasing a ticket for this year’s Mikkellerthon, you are supporting a school project in Kenya.

Mikkeller is partnering with the Kenyan NGO Kenswed to support a Mobile Schools initiative, bringing free education and entrepreneurship training to marginalized youth in rural areas.

These mobile schools are set up temporarily in community buildings in small villages, equipped with Wi-Fi, solar-powered tablets, and study facilities. Students gain practical skills, digital literacy, and knowledge that open opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities.
