Another amazing moment for Sportsdanserforeningen KAF and Danish dance 🇩🇰✨

On Thursday May 7th, at the legendary Blackpool Tower, & danced their way all the way to the final of The Open Worlds Professional Rising Star — finishing in an incredible 6th place among some of the world’s strongest professional couples. 🌍🏆

Blackpool is one of the most iconic cities in the world of ballroom dancing, and competing beneath the famous tower, surrounded by the unique atmosphere and live music from LP Big Band, makes the experience something truly unforgettable.

The couple shared after the competition:

“Blackpool Tower has always been a competition we’ve loved dancing at. The atmosphere and energy are always incredible, and there is something truly special about having the opportunity to dance to live music played by LP Big Band.

We are very happy with both our dancing and the result, and we’re excited to see what the future in the professional division has in store for us.”

A fantastic achievement and an exciting glimpse into what’s ahead for this professional partnership. We are incredibly proud to follow the journey and can’t wait to see what comes next ❤️

We are incredibly proud to celebrate an extraordinary achievement by our very own Maddox and Sara, who became WDSF European Champions in Youth Latin. 🏆✨

“A dream, a lot of hard work, and an unforgettable result” — the words from Maddox & Sara themselves perfectly capture what this title represents. Because moments like these are never created overnight. They are built through years of dedication, sacrifice, trust, and relentless work behind the scenes.

The couple also shared how “beyond grateful” they are for everyone who has been part of the journey — family, teachers, and friends ❤️

Bringing home a European title is something truly special, not only for them personally, but for the entire club and country. We could not be prouder to see two KAF dancers represent both the club and Denmark at this level.

Fantastic news for KAF and Danish dancesport! 🥇

Egor Kondratenko & Mie Lincke Funch danced their way to the gold this weekend at the World Open Latin in Oslo – marking their very first World Open victory.

Set in a beautiful venue and run to a high standard, the competition created the perfect setting for a special result.

“It’s our first World Open win, so it makes it extra special. The venue was really well put together and the audience was simply amazing.”

Reflecting on the weekend, Egor & Mie shared:

“We were very happy with our dancing and the development we’re feeling right now.”

With momentum building, the focus is now on the next challenge- Next stop for Egor & Mie: World Open Calvià next weekend.

Maddox Haurholm Løvenhardt & Sara Coman vinder WDSF DanceSport Festival Championship Youth Latin i Blackpool blandt hele 54 par 🥇✨

I ikoniske Winter Gardens – et sted hvor danseres drømme er kommet til live gennem generationer – leverede de en præstation i absolut topklasse. Maddox og Sara beskriver selv:

“It was a feeling that you can’t simply express in words… The Empress Orchestra’s music flows to your body and it’s just AMAZING”

Med en klar plan, stærk forberedelse og en tydelig tro på eget niveau, gik de på gulvet med ambitionen om at vise præcis, hvad de er i stand til:
 “Overall the whole experience was just perfect because we came there so prepared”

Og i en balsal, der ikke kan sammenlignes med andre, mærkede de også den helt særlige Blackpool-stemning:
 “It’s not a common competition it had that SPECIAL thing and on the day of the competition we felt a different atmosphere”.

Vi i KAF er enormt stolte – det her er ikke bare en førsteplads, men en stor sejr for dansk sportsdans ❤️‍🔥
