Volunteer appreciation post ❤️

So much work goes into this event from more than 1,000 volunteers.

Signposting the routes, brewing coffee, handing out bib numbers, servicing you at the feed station and everything in between.

This year, the demands were higher than ever with temperatures reaching mid 30's.

But the volunteers found solutions to cool you down in various ways and supplying you with the water and Purepower energy drink, you needed.

Thanks to each and everyone of you! We honestly could not have done it without you guys 🫶

It was so cool to see the new official L'Etape Denmark kit out on the roads last weekend! 🙌

We hope you had a fantastic experience on the Ancient Road. Every single one of you did an incredible job out there 🙏

For many riders, the heat turned out to be the biggest challenge of the day. Some found that their bodies reached their limit sooner than expected and unfortunately didn't make it all the way to Viborg. We understand how frustrating that must have been.

Our team – and especially our amazing volunteers and medical staff – did everything we could to help and support you throughout the day.

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for looking out for one another and for treating our volunteers with kindness and respect, even when the heat and fatigue made things tough ❤️

It means the world to us to hear that you've had a great experience, even if some of you had to dig deeper than you ever expected.

A huge thank you to all the local clubs and associations who truly went above and beyond this year to make everything run smoothly. It is a real privilege to work alongside such dedicated, skilled and passionate volunteers 💪
