The Aspirers Athletic Club thirteen years ago was nominated as one of the three nominees for the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 award. Imagine the jubilation that was felt when we were declared the winner, May 2013 🏆

Now thirteen years later we have been invited to another National Sports Awards ceremony. Question: Has our performance since our rebirth delivered the high standard, worthy of emerging as the 2026 National Sports Club of the Year? Tune in this Saturday night to hear who will be declared the winner 🏆

We are pleased to announce that our tickets for Curacao have been fully paid. This was made possible through the support and fundraising efforts of the following individuals:

The Aspirers Athletic Club takes this opportunity to publicly thank the Government of Dominica for approving our $15,000 EC dollars request to compete in the 35th edition of the Trupial Classic in Curacao ✈️

Special gratitude is extended to the Hon. Gretta Roberts, Minister for Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development. We also extend our sincerest thanks to Hon. Oscar George, Minister of State in the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development.

To the Prime Minister of Dominica the Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, words are not enough to express how grateful we are to you for approving the entire $15,000 EC dollars requested. Your continued investment towards Sports in Dominica is a clear testament of your desire to see Dominica flag 🇩🇲 at the top of the medal podium regionally and internationally.

To the Sports Coordinator in the Dominica Sports Division Mr. Trevor Shillingford, thank you for accepting to hand over the cheque on behalf of the Government of Dominica, while the Minister of Sports attended to other work related duties. Additionally, thank you for the encouraging words which challenged the athletes to be role models for their peers.

To the Mayor of Portsmouth Town Council Est. 1954 Mrs. Kerry Breedy-Prince we were elated that you graced us with your presence for this handing over. Indeed you continue to stand as one of Aspirers strongest supporters in the town of Portsmouth using your position to open doors that enhance our program. Thank you for reminding the athletes to be ambassadors who carry themselves with distinction.

To all who have been supporting Aspirers in one way or another we say thank you. May God bind us together in love 💞 with cords that cannot be broken.
