Drinking fruit is not the same as eating fruit.

When you eat the fruit, you chew, you get fiber, and you feel fuller.

Juice can be occasional, but don’t confuse it with whole fruit.

Most of the time: eat the fruit, drink water.

Today’s little harvest 🍒🌿

Fresh acerola cherries, picked straight from nature.

Acerola is one of the richest fruits in the world in natural vitamin C — a tiny fruit, but a real wellness treasure.

I’m keeping some for my own smoothies and freezing a few to build my natural vitamin C stock… but I’ll also have some available for people who make fresh, natural, unsweetened juices.

Because here in Dominica, we are truly living in an open-air pharmacy. We just have to look around, respect it, and use it wisely 🌿

Hello people,

Yesterday, on my way to hike part of Segment 11 for Hike Fest, I met Nigel on the bus.

He said something very important:

you shouldn’t only do weight training or anaerobic exercise. You also need cardio during the week.
And he is right.

Weight training builds strength, muscle, posture and power.

But your heart and arteries also need regular blood flow.
That’s where cardio comes in.

Brisk walking, hiking, cycling, swimming or dancing can help train your heart differently and support better circulation.

So don’t stop lifting.
Just don’t forget your heart.
Train strength.
Train endurance.
Train smart.
