Die Tauchbasis Merlin in Sosua (Dominikanische Republik) arbeitet erfolgreich seit 1994 unter der Leitung von Nordküsten-Kenner Jürgen Rumpenhorst (PADI Instruktor und Ausrüstungsspezialist). Das gesamte Merlin-TEAM setzt sich persönlich dafür ein, deinen Aufenthalt in Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch, Französisch und Italienisch, sowie unter und über Wasser zu einem unvergesslich gutem Urlaub zu verwandeln. Wir sind das ganze Jahr über geöffnet und bieten Tauchgänge zu zahlreichen Tauchgebieten vor der Nordküste der Dominikanischen Republik an, wovon rund 20 in fünf bis zwanzig Minuten mit dem Boot ab unserer Tauchbasis erreichbar sind. So much growth on these underwater installations in Sosúa Bay! It’s amazing to see new life taking hold and the difference coral restoration can make for our reefs.

💀 The Legend of Ralf No-Air 👻

They say every shipwreck has a secret… and the Zingara has been keeping one for years. Deep beneath the waves of Sosúa Bay, at 35 metres, something lurks in the shadows of the wreck. His name is Ralf. 💀

Legend has it that Ralf ventured into the Zingara searching for lost treasure. His dive buddies signalled that it was time to surface, but Ralf had other plans.

“Just five more minutes…”

Those were the last words anyone ever heard him say. Years passed. His wetsuit began to rot, his BCD fell apart, and well… Ralf lost a little weight. 🦴

Some say he’s still searching for that treasure. Others say he’s waiting for his dive buddies to come back. But one thing is certain… Ralf never misses a dive anymore. 👀
