n. He closely followed Muhammad Ali’s career on TV and in magazines, and he practiced what he learned in the streets. By the time he was 15 0r 16, he had earned a reputation as a fearsome fighter and knockout artist. He was my first – and most important -- boxing teacher and sports role model. To this day I dedicate all my victories in the ring to him: Thomas Hardy III, the perfect big brother, and one of the best boxers I have ever met!!! My Sports & Fitness Summary
All his life Hazakyah has been involved with sports and fitness. From being a standout youth hockey and tennis player, to graduating from the US Army Tae Kwon-do instructor course in Korea, to teaching self-defense to US Army Reserve Officer Cadets at Fort Valley State College, to being an undefeated two-time Georgia State light-middleweight amateur boxing champion, to earning certifications in scuba and skydiving, to teaching full-contact karate and aerobics in France, to training and refereeing boxers in Senegal, to training and coaching at the PAL (Police Athletic League) boxing gym in Muncie, Indiana, to teaching boxing and fitness to regular US army soldiers of the US Material Command in Virginia, to studying fencing at Cleveland State University, to literally running (jogging) all over the world as a committed distance runner, and much more, Hazakyah has studied, trained, competed and taught all over the world.
