Happy Mother’s Day from Ecuador Freedom Bike Rental 🌹🇪🇨🏍️
Ecuador’s flowers and roses are out in the world today doing what they do best: making people look thoughtful and slightly more organized than they actually are.
But behind every bouquet is the real message:
Thank you, Mom.
Thank you for the love, the affection, the patience, the advice we ignored but eventually realized was correct, and the magical ability to solve problems with one look.
From the rose fields of Ecuador to mothers around the world, today is for the women who raised us, loved us, and somehow survived us.
From all of us at Ecuador Freedom Bike Rental:
Happy Mother’s Day to the moms who gave us roots, wings, and just enough guilt to call home more often.

Tony, a firefighter from Toronto, is heading out with our Lead Guide, Jhordy, on our guided OFFROAD Ecuador Excursion.
This is a serious four-day off-road adventure built for riders who want to get far beyond the usual route. The tour covers 498 miles / 801 km with 80% dirt, taking riders through mountain passes, crater lakes, cloudforest, rainforest, and remote villages that most travelers never get to see. Along the way, riders experience Ecuador’s incredible landscapes, culture, and backroads with a knowledgeable local guide leading the way.
One of the best parts: our guaranteed departure policy means we run the tour even if you are the only rider to sign up. We do not cancel tours, so when you book, you are sure to go.
Our next OFFROAD Ecuador Excursion departs July 12, and we already have four riders signed up. If one more rider joins, we will add a support truck to the tour.
If you’ve been thinking about riding Ecuador the way it was meant to be explored, now is the time to claim your spot.

April’s OFFROAD Pacific Discovery tour was the real thing.
Ian from Ontario and Geoff from New Zealand showed up, threw a leg over the bikes, and spent a week doing what most people only pretend they’d do: riding dirt, climbing through cloud forest, dropping toward the Pacific, crossing rivers, hitting beach sand, eating well, sleeping in killer lodges, and getting properly filthy in the best possible way.
This isn’t a “look at the scenery from the bus window” kind of trip. It’s 7 days of Ecuador at throttle level — mountains, rainforest, coast, backroads, waterfalls, fishing villages, and enough dirt to make your laundry file a complaint.
Respect to Ian and Geoff for riding it right.
Want your own photos from the middle of nowhere, covered in dust and looking like you actually did something with your vacation?

Meet Miro.
Born in Split, Croatia. Now living in Belgrade. The kind of rider who doesn’t need convincing—just a set of keys and a direction.
He picked up a fully loaded 2026 BMW F800GS from Ecuador Freedom and headed straight into the Andes on the Inca Royal Roads route. No group. No guide. Just a plan and a map that actually matters.
There are still places where the road is real.
Day one out of Quito, the climb starts fast. The air thins out past 12,000 feet. By 14,000, you feel it in your chest and your throttle hand. The pavement stays tight and technical—corners stacking on corners, no rhythm handed to you. You earn it.
He’ll make his way south to Ingapirca, the largest Inca ruins in Ecuador. The Solar Temple still stands, precisely aligned, built to track the sun across the sky. You park the bike, walk the grounds, and take it in. Then it’s on to Cuenca, a city built in stone and symmetry, where narrow streets, tiled roofs, and cathedral domes sit clean against the Andes. It’s the kind of place you don’t rush through. Somewhere along the way, he’ll trade the bike for a canoe and head deep into the Amazon with a local guide, slipping into a different rhythm entirely.
Ecuador Freedom built this route to be ridden this way. GPS dialed. Stops handled. Support there if it’s needed, but otherwise it’s his ride to manage.
Built in Ecuador. Run from Ecuador. Since 2009.
Miro didn’t come here to slow down. He came here because roads like this still exist.
That’s the point.

October 2 – Introduction to Ecuador Motorcycle Tour
This tour has been 15 years in the making—and it shows.
We’ve taken everything we’ve learned from thousands of riders and built what we believe is the ultimate way to experience Ecuador on two wheels.
A small group is already forming.
You’ll ride with the founders themselves (fluent in English, French, and Spanish), with a full support truck backing you up the entire way. No stress. No logistics. Just ride.
If Ecuador has been on your radar, this is the trip that gets it right.

You’ve found the perfect motorcycle trip… the route looks unreal, the bikes are dialed, and you’re hovering over “Book.”
But it would be better with your crew.
Getting your friends to actually commit? That’s the real adventure.
Start before you even invite them. Share your rides. Post the photos. Tell the stories. Let them see what they’re missing.
Then when you bring it up, you’re not selling anything—they’re already halfway in.
Of course, you’ll still hear it:
“I’ll get killed.”
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
“Do they even have coffee there?”
Good. That means you’re close.
Here’s how to push it the rest of the way—and actually get your friends on the bikes with you:

Not all “self-guided tours” are created equal.
Some hand you a file and wish you luck.
We’ve been riding these roads for over 15 years—through rain, mud, broken pavement, perfect pavement, and everything in between. The routes aren’t theoretical. They’re lived in. Refined. Adjusted. Ridden again.
Out here, you don’t want to be fiddling with your phone, wondering if the app just updated or if you missed a turn. You want something that works. Every time. That’s why we use dedicated GPS units built for the ride, not your pocket.
And when you roll out in the morning, you’re not guessing. You know where you’re going, what’s worth stopping for, and what you’d miss if you didn’t.
Ride it solo. Ride it with your crew. Mix bikes and 4x4 if that’s how your group rolls. Either way, the route is dialed so you don’t have to be.
This is freedom—but with a backbone.

Pablo doesn’t come back to Ecuador to sit around.
He lives in the U.S. now, but when he returns, it’s about two things: family—and riding. The kind of riding that leaves you a little beat up, a little sunburned, and completely reset.
He knows the drill. He comes straight to us, grabs a bike he can trust, and asks where the real roads are. No fluff, no shortcuts—just routes that earn their keep.
This time it’s a Suzuki DR650. High elevation climbs, thin air, rough terrain. Then down the eastern slopes of the Andes, where the heat comes back and the reward is a soak in the hot springs.
That’s a proper ride.
Good to have you back, Pablo.
