ORC-s on toimumas rohkem, kui pealtnäha paistab
🆕 New ORC Research Associates
☑️It was decided at the ORC meeting in Athens in November last year that the International Technical Committee (ITC) - led by chairman Andy Claughton, should divide the Committee into a technical production group and an expansion of designers to oversee suggested changes to the VPP.
🔝The development of this decision is now the addition of several new research associates to our talent pool, including Doyle Sailss’ Stu Bannatyne, Adolfo Carrau from Botin Partners - Naval Architecture , Jez Elliott and Chris Williams from North Sails, Antoine Lauriot Prévost from VPLP design and Adam Scott-Mackie from Malcolm Mckeon Yacht Design in Lymington.
💡The role of these new research associates is to give the ITC feedback on how the ORC product is working in the field, and how ORC should priorities to best serve constituents. ❓For example, should we focus on better force models, or better race management, or a better measurement process?

Eelmise aasta löpus tulnud Düsseldorf Boot, ära jätmisele on lisandunud järgmine. Naaberriik Soome ja ka piirkonna suurim paadimess lükatakse edasi (loe jäetakse ära)
Vene 22 Båt -messut on päätetty siirtää ja järjestetään seuraavan kerran vuoden kuluttua 10. - 19.2.2023 Helsingin Messukeskuksessa. Messukeskus teki siirtopäätöksen yhdessä venemessujen toimeksiantajan Venealan Keskusliitto Finnboat ry:n kanssa.
Venemessut on kymmenen päivää kestävä tapahtuma, jossa muun muassa veneiden kuljetuskustannukset ovat suuret. Tapahtuma olisi haluttu järjestää, m***a nyt riskit ovat liian isot. Venemessut on odotettu tapahtuma niin venealalla kuin veneilijöidenkin keskuudessa. Olemme pahoillamme, ettemme pääse kohtaamaan tänäkään vuonna.
Nykyiset yleisötilaisuusrajoitukset, jotka estävät messujen järjestämisen, ovat voimassa pääkaupunkiseudulla 17.1. asti. Pääkaupunkiseudun koronakoordinaatioryhmä on kuitenkin jo suositellut Etelä-Suomen aluehallintovirastolle yleisötilaisuuksia koskevien rajoitusten jatkamista kahdella viikolla eli 31.1. asti. Lopulliset päätökset rajoituksista tekee Etelä-Suomen aluehallintovirasto.
