The Whales batted first and the openers got off to a great start with a 41 run partnership before the first wicket fell. Chris Wallace then combined with Ben Jones for another handy partnership to push the score beyond 100, with the Whales ending on a season high 114/5. Ben Jones top scored with 62.

With the ball the Whales were outstanding, with 6 wickets falling in the first 9 overs and the final wicket falling in the 17th over to wrap up the first win of the season as Bulls were all out for 67. Saimoon Quazi, Chris Wallace and Itisam Javaid all got 1 wicket, Ajinkya Kulkarni picked up 2, but it was Love Kumar with the best figures of 4/9 from his 4 overs!

Whales player of the match was Ben Jones for his 62 runs.

Eesti Premium Liiga 2 game five saw the Whales against Tallinna Kriketiklubi.

The Whales batted first on a very slow outfield, and it was hard work to score runs. Ben Jones top scored with 15, closely followed by Daivya Chaudhary who finished 14 not out as we ended the 20 overs on 65/6.

The Whales battled hard in the field with Love Kumar and Ragne Hallik taking a wicket each while Daivya Chaudhary picked up 2/12 from his 4 overs but it was not enough as Tallinna chased the total in the 15th over to win by 6 wickets.

Whales player of the match was Daivya Chaudhary for his 14* and 2/16.

Eesti Premium Liiga match 5 sees the Hippos taking on the Tallinn Strikers, as the Hippos welcome back Ben Jones who plays his first game of 2026.

Whilst they couldn't chase down the total, the Whales will be pleased to bat out the 20 overs for the third time in four matches, finishing on 87/8.

The Whales bowled first, with Gleb Bihanov, Ajinkya Kulkarni and Ragne Hallik all getting 2 wickets each, while Love Kumar got one.

It was a another tough game with the bat for the Whales, with the highlight being a gutsy 24 runs from Itisam Javaid while lots of wickets were falling around him.
