We're two friends who've been sailing the Nile together for twenty years. It's possible to go out for short trips of two hours or less, medium trips of a whole morning or afternoon, or even longer trips of several days.

We got tp be part of this nice video from Schneider Electric. That's Silem at the very beginning. When they asked Abdullah who was his good luck came from, he said, "From my kids!"
Our home in 1907. We sail the same kind of boat today, though with the dams you need other transportation to Philae Temple now.
Our grandfathers and their neighbors, sailing on the Nile ninety years ago in the same fellucas we sail today!

Last week, a friend of one of our American friends came to visit Aswan, and took a trip around Elephantine Island with us. She took some beautiful photos. Thank you, Carolyn Rehn, for letting us share them!

Our boat is docked at the workshop for the rest of the week. After five years, we've saved up enough money to get it cleaned and repainted. We love our boat, but it needs the work! We're excited to get it back this weekend. In the meantime, we're still sailing with friends' boats!
