5th place in the season finals may look like a result on paper, but for those of us who watched every step of this journey, it means so much more.

This season wasn’t always smooth. There were great rounds, frustrating rounds, disagreements, lessons, victories, mistakes, and plenty of moments that tested patience. If you’ve ever met him, you’ll know he’s not exactly the easiest rider to coach. He likes to challenge everything, question everything, and occasionally give our head coach a few extra grey hairs. Yet somehow, beneath all those arguments has always been a deep respect, trust, and love for the sport, his horse, and the people around him.

I’ve often been called his lawyer because no matter what trouble he gets himself into, I somehow find myself defending him. Maybe that’s because I’ve always seen the heart behind the rebellion.

Watching him and Malleta finish this season with such determination, courage, and consistency made me incredibly proud. From clear rounds to unexpected moments that somehow turned into unforgettable memories, they kept fighting until the very end.

Congratulations on finishing 5th in the finals. You’ve earned every bit of it.

Now give the coach a break before next season starts.
