Horse comfort
We hit the tack shop to look for three items that would make a horse quite happy. A sheepskin headcollar and matching stable girth. No rubs, just softness.
In the old days, we had to put some muscle into those wooden brushes just to get through a mane. Now? It’s all about flexibility and bendability to ensure our horses feel as good as they look.

"A horse’s working week consists of six days and not seven, as I rest them usually the day after the show. This rest day will preferably include a hand walk or free in grass paddock. I dislike horses being left in their stalls for forty-eight hours." ~ Paul Darragh

We are over the moon to announce that HORSE TIMES has officially been accredited for the 2026 FEI World Championships 🐎🕺💃
After covering the incredible action at the 2006 and 2014 Games in Aachen and Normandy, we can’t wait to head back. We’re ready to drag our feet (and heaps of heavy equipment!) from one end of the grounds to the other - to capture every moment of the magic.
While we had five team members in Normandy, this year we’ll have a crack team of three on the ground covering the showjumping, cross-country, dressage, and para dressage. We’ll announce exactly who’s on the team closer to the date.
In the meantime, tap the link in the comments to take a trip down memory lane and look at the stunning photos by the legendary Jacques Toffi and Baroness Ludwiga von Korff from our hardcover commemorating the Normandy Games.

🇫🇷 The Camenen connection
From coaching the Egyptian showjumping team to managing the Royal stables in Oman, Jean-Yves Camenen has spent 40 years shaping a horse world across 50 different countries.
Whether he’s breeding future stars or running digital auctions at Equinia, Camenen credits his success to three things: hard work, humility, and a "questionable" sense of humour that’s saved him from more than a few awkward moments.
In this exclusive HORSE TIMES interview, you’ll learn how a facetious French horseman ended up becoming a legend from Cairo to Colombia.
