🇮🇹 The 20th Mediterranean Games are officially underway in Taranto, Italy

Showjumping athletes from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye will be participating and looking to grab some medals.

Fresh off jumping at the FEI World Championships in Aachen and coming in with new Championship experience, will be Ahmed Nasser Elnaggar - joined by the 2022 Mediterranean Games Team Silver medallist Mohamed Weaam, Zein Shady Samir, and Ismail Osama Elboraei.

These young gentlemen are all under 25.

🇨🇭 🇧🇪 🇬🇧 An incredible and dramatic end to showjumping at the FEI World Championships

Out of 145 horse-and-rider combinations to start in the jumping competitions, it was Steve Guerdat and his magnificent mare Dynamix de Belhème who rose above the drama to take Individual Gold.

As the only combination to jump five clear rounds, their brilliant trust and quality shone through to the very end.

Behind every champion is a dedicated breeder who poured pure passion into every single step of the journey.

Massive congratulations to Guerdat, breeder Frédéric Aimez, and all the incredible medalists who made this event so memorable.

🇨🇭🥇 Steve Guerdat is World Jumping Champion

Steve Guerdat has earned another Gold medal after jumping two perfect clear rounds (score of 0.86) with his mare Dynamix de Belheme at the FEI World Championships. While he has won a Bronze at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, he never won Gold.

Guerdat and Dynamix have been consistent throughout the Championships, and we've been watching him rise to one medal after medal since the London Olympics, and now has a Gold medal for every major event.

🇧🇪 Thibeau Spits and Impress-K van't Kattenheye Z take Silver after two clear rounds and a score of 5.60. 🥈

🇬🇧 Harry Charles and LT Holst Freda take Bronze after two clear rounds and a score of 7.17. 🥉

Are you reeady for the showjumping Individual Final at the FEI World Championships?

Two rounds. World Champion Henrik von Eckermann did not qualify for this Final. 25 horses and riders will battle it out. Only five out of the top 10 World ranked riders are part of the 25, and the rest are big names as well. Anything can happen. This is showjumping.

The show starts at 14:20 Germany time.
