🫤To avoid permanent data loss
follow these important guidelines
😰If your hard drive is making clicking, grinding or whirring sounds, shut down the drive or your computer immediately. These sounds could be the read/write heads hitting or scraping the hard disk platters. Severe or complete data loss could result.
✅If your data is critical, make sure you choose a reputable recovery firm that can properly recover data from mechanically failed or physically damaged drives. Even the simplest recovery attempts could render your data unrecoverable.
❌Avoid “home remedies” you may have read about on the web such as placing
a non-spinning hard drive in a freezer or hitting a drive on its side Much of this
information is inaccurate and while some may claim success, these suggestions
may actually harm the device and could lead to permanent data loss.
We recommend that you do not gamble with your irreplaceable data.
👌The first recovery attempt is always
the best recovery attempt
👨🏻💻At Error-Stores , our engineers use the safest
methods available to ensure your data
is not lost from repeated recovery attempts.

The difference between HDD and SSD in nutshell:
It will get better, faster and more reliable with all your applications.
Recommended brands ( Samsung Evo , Seagate , WD )
*Advice : if your computer still running with HDD drive upgrade to SSD drive and you won’t regret 😉
Shingled magnetic recording (SMR) is a magnetic storage data recording technology used in hard disk drives (HDDs) to increase storage density and overall per-drive storage capacity.Conventional hard disk drives record data by writing non-overlapping magnetic tracks parallel to each other (perpendicular magnetic recording, PMR), while shingled recording writes new tracks that overlap part of the previously written magnetic track, leaving the previous track narrower and allowing for higher track density. Thus, the tracks partially overlap similar to roof shingles. This approach was selected because physical limitations prevent recording magnetic heads from having the same width as reading heads, leaving recording heads wider.
The overlapping-tracks architecture complicates the writing process since writing to one track also overwrites an adjacent track. If adjacent tracks contain valid data, they must be rewritten as well. As a result, SMR drives are divided into many append-only (sequential) zones of overlapping tracks that need to be rewritten entirely when full, resembling flash blocks in solid state drives. Device-managed SMR devices hide this complexity by managing it in the firmware, presenting an interface like any other hard disk. Other SMR devices are host-managed and depend on the operating system to know how to handle the drive, and only write sequentially to certain regions of the drive. While SMR drives can use DRAM and Flash memory caches to improve writing performance, continuous writing of large amount of data is slower than with PMR drives.
