September diving has started with something a little special 👀

This is a slender ghost pipefish — not one of the species we come across particularly often in the Red Sea, and very easy to swim straight past if you’re not looking closely.

Ghost pipefish are masters of camouflage, usually hanging around corals and other reef life where their shape and colouring help them blend into the background.

Sometimes the best finds underwater aren’t the biggest ones. 🐠

Would you have spotted this one?

Episode 7: The Guests 🤿🌊

A liveaboard isn’t just about the boat, the reefs or the marine life — it’s the people you share it all with.

A week of early mornings, dive briefings, four dives a day, meals together, stories on deck and plenty of laughs in between.

You might arrive as a group of strangers, but after a week of sharing incredible dives and living together at sea, it rarely feels that way by the time you head home. 💙

Different nationalities, different experience levels, one thing in common — a love of diving.

That’s a big part of what makes liveaboard life so special.

Episode 6 | Marine Life 🐬🐢🦈

Now for the bit we all really came for… the marine life.

Dolphins, turtles, reef sharks and eagle rays all made an appearance during our week in the Red Sea — alongside plenty of the usual colourful reef residents.

You never quite know what’s going to swim past you next, and that’s half the fun. 💙

Episode 5 | Reefs & Corals 🪸🐠

One of the best parts of heading south on a liveaboard — the reefs.

Our Sataya & Marsa Alam route took us over colourful coral gardens, healthy reefs and plenty of Red Sea life. The video might not quite do it justice, but sometimes you just have to enjoy the view rather than worry about getting the perfect shot. 💙

Another little look at life onboard and what’s waiting beneath the surface.

🤿🌊 Happy International Scuba Day! 🌊🤿

Today is all about celebrating the underwater world and the incredible feeling of being weightless beneath the surface. 💙

From those first nervous breaths underwater to the dives you never want to end… scuba has a funny way of becoming so much more than just a hobby.

Here in the Red Sea, we’re pretty lucky to call this our backyard. 🐠🐢🦈

And right now, we’re spending International Scuba Day exactly where we’d want to be — on a liveaboard, diving some of the Red Sea’s incredible reefs. 🤿☀️

So whether you’ve done one dive or one thousand, today is a good excuse to remember why you fell in love with diving in the first place.

Happy International Scuba Day, divers! 💙

Episode 3: Safety Onboard 🛟

When you step onto a liveaboard, you’re trusting the crew with more than just your holiday. That’s why safety is taken seriously from the moment you arrive.

From fire drills and extinguishers to oxygen, first aid kits and life rafts, every boat is equipped with the essential safety equipment needed for life at sea. Behind the scenes, you’ll also find satellite communications, VHF radios, emergency beacons, GPS navigation systems and trained crew who regularly practise emergency procedures.

The safety briefing on day one might seem like just another part of the check-in process, but it’s one of the most important. Taking a few minutes to learn where everything is means you can relax and enjoy the incredible diving knowing you’re in safe hands.

Have you ever wondered what safety equipment is carried on a liveaboard? Let me know in the comments. 👇

Episode 2: The Dive Deck ⚓🤿

This is where every dive begins.

The bell isn’t just part of life onboard – it’s your cue that it’s time for the dive briefing. Before every dive, the guides explain the site, the route, the maximum depth, expected conditions and anything you need to know to enjoy the dive safely.

Once the briefing is finished, it’s time to kit up on the spacious dive deck. With two zodiacs, getting divers to and from the dive sites is quick and organised, helping everyone enter the water safely and comfortably.

The boat also has an onboard compressor, with Nitrox available as an add-on for certified divers who want to extend their no-decompression limits and reduce fatigue over multiple dives.

Everything is designed to make diving as smooth and stress-free as possible, so you can focus on what you came for… exploring the Red Sea. 🌊🐠
