Today we celebrate 100 years of an extraordinary life. Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough.

For generations, you have brought the ocean, the wild, and the natural world into the hearts and minds of millions. Through your voice and your vision, people haven’t just watched nature, they’ve actually felt connected to it.

We spend our days on the water, surrounded by the very ecosystems you’ve spent a lifetime protecting. Your work has inspired curiosity, respect, and a deeper responsibility for our seas.

Thank you for reminding the world that what lies beneath the surface truly matters.

Here’s to a century of storytelling, conservation, and unwavering dedication to our planet.

Some nice shots from the Suez Expedition's dive on the Birchwood 2 at Ras Shukier. At just 12m this is a lovely wreck that's easily accessible.

Thanks to Fady Yousry Frady for sharing his shots.

Peter Collings sharing his passion and knowledge of the Suez wrecks with our team around the table, while everyone smiles on the back deck. This trip is full of history and fun!

Got any questions about the wrecks? Fire them over!

We dived the QTMOS today. This beautiful old ocean-going tug is absolutely covered in marine life. Thanks to Fady Yousry Frady for these great shots. Have you dived this wreck before?

A short video of the Scalaria from Simon Lee.

Exert from book by Peter Collings:

THE SINKING CAPTAIN J WARING “At 2215 I made the rounds of the ship, saw the gunners at their posts. At 2230 I retired to my room, being awakened at 2230 by an attacking Heinkel HE 111 approaching from the land, roughly westward. The aircraft circled at approximately 100 ft, then dropped a torpedo which struck the ship on the starboard side abaft of the bridge in no. 3 tank. There was a terrific explosion which caused the ship to shudder violently and carried away the stern moorings, causing the ship to swing round from north to south. All the woodwork in my room collapsed and the iron frame twisted, jamming the two doors. By sheer force I burst one door open and on reaching the deck saw the whole of the after starboard side of the deck was ablaze, with burning oil pouring from the ships side and drifting aft."
