تاريخ تأسيس PADI وكيفية اختيار الاسم

تأسست PADI عام 1966 على يد جون كرونن (John Cronin)، الذي كان يعمل في شركة معدات الغوص U.S. Divers، ورالف إريكسون (Ralph Erickson)، وهو مدرب غوص ومُعلم رياضي. لاحظا أن طرق تدريب الغوص في ذلك الوقت كانت معقدة وغير موحدة، مما جعل تعلم الغوص صعبًا وغير متاح للجميع. قررا إنشاء منظمة جديدة تركز على جعل التدريب أكثر أمانًا، وأسهل، وأكثر احترافية، مع تطوير معايير تعليمية حديثة.

لماذا اختاروا اسم PADI؟

اختار المؤسسان اسم Professional Association of Diving Instructors (الرابطة المهنية لمدربي الغوص) ليعكس رؤيتهم في إنشاء شبكة من مدربي الغوص المحترفين، تكون ملتزمة بتقديم تدريب آمن وفعال للغواصين في جميع أنحاء العالم.

تطور PADI عبر السنوات
