The EQUALIZATION CHART would like to be a tool to understand better the different Equalization Techniques.

Following the coloured lines you will go through:

- Air Shift Technique

Reverse Packing and Abdominal Contraction are the two different ways how to move air from the lungs to the Oral Cavity

- Where to store the air

We can store air in the "Front Oral Cavity" (airspace between Lips and any of the Tongue Locks), "Back Oral Cavity" (airspace between any of the Tongue Locks, Soft Palate, Glottis) "Full Oral Cavity" (airspace between Lips, Soft Palate, Glottis)

- How to open the tubes

We can open the Tubes thanks only to an increment of pressure in the Nasal Cavity (Pressure), thanks to the action of some muscles that open the Tubes (Mechanical), the combination of the increment of the pressure in the Nasal Cavity and the action of some muscles that allow the Tubes to open with a low pressure (Pressure Mechanical)

- How to create pressure

The increment of the pressure in the Oral Cavity can be created by the movement of the Tongue, or the Cheeks or the Jaw

- Tubes opening

The opening of the tubes can be Alterate (the Tubes open and close) or Constant (the Tubes stay constantly open).
