Congratulations to Kevin, Paul and Jeff winners of the Malaga Provincials Championships Triples 👏🏆

The final truly felt like a game of two halves. After nine ends, Kevin, Paul, and Jeff were trailing considerably. However, their tactics and experience soon came into play, as they moved the mat up and began playing short ends. This strategic shift unsettled the strong Saydo triples and disrupted their rhythm.
Ultimately, the Lauro triples secured an impressive 19–16 victory, marking a remarkable comeback

The Malaga Provincial Championship Triples started at Lauro on Sunday 5th April. There were 5 Lauro teams playing in this competition, so lets hope one of them will be the winners.

Lauro welcomed Minehead, Durham and Lampeter BC back for a some friendly matches in March. Fun as always, everyone enjoyed themselves and we were pleased to see you all again.

Here are some of the photos from the Provincial's that took place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March, unfortunately Malaga lost to Almeria at Indalo Bowls Club, Mojacar, but in October Lauro Bowls Club are hosts of the return match, so hopefully the Provincial cup will be ours again.

Welcome back Headwell for the 7th consecutive year! George brought the group for another match. Everybody had a good time and even the pints started to line the rink! 🍺

Congratulations to our Paul, Kevin and Jeff, who are the Mijas Masters trips winners.
They triumphed over Mijas's Barry Holt, Ian Patterson, and John Rimmel with a decisive score of 24 to 10.

The valentine roll up was won in the pairs by Margaret and Chrystal and in the trips by Ray G, Kathy and Phil. Well done all 🍾

The Mr & Mrs was won by Hazel & Phil and the raffle teddy bear was won by Morror, he was so please🤣

Congratulations to Ron J and Dave S for their victory over Roberto and Martin in the final of the OZ Drawn Pairs, earning them their well-deserved designer belts as prizes.

Last evening the members dressed up, Moffat kilts included, for our Christmas dinner and presentation night at La Boma.
Including the normal presentations were the alternative awards, namely "The good egg" award won by Ray G, Greenkeeper award to Tony, "Chatterbox" award to Roberto, "Most improved bowler" Martin and "Lost in translation" award to Scots Terry.

Unfortunately ladies day was cancelled this autumn, however they did not stop the generosity of the ladies from donating to the ABC charity for unprivileged families with Christmas gifts. Thank you ladies, Nancy from ABC was very happy.

A mixture of Italian and Spanish families came together to give bowling a try with our Ron J. They seemed to certainly enjoy the sport. Nice to meet you all.

Congratulations to Margaret, Roberto and Kathy for winning the drawn trips final, beating Paul, Monica and Ray. After trailing the first half of the game Margaret's team had a great comeback to win.
