I truly never tire of this view across the valley. Strava tells me that this is around my 40th ride up this hill and certainly not my quickest, but when the views are this good who’s counting 😅

Another day, another airport and another delayed Ryanair flight!

Bit of a tourist style snap today, but quite liked the new landscaping in Sorbas this morning before heading to the hills for a final ride in Spain for a while before heading back to a cold, wet England tomorrow evening.

Loved the film ‘Sexy Beast’ with and when I found out the villa it was set in wasn’t far from us we had to take a drive out - didn’t get a picture of the house, so this will have to do for now. Setting was great, Coffee wasn’t bad, but the service was shocking.

We all know that our feeds are going to be littered with ‘influencers’ making New Year’s resolutions today, that ain’t for me.
What I will do though is tell you that I’m using the New Year as inspiration to get back to fitness - using some symbolism to demonstrate how I think that’s going to look! Starting the year with the first run in months and hoping for no Covid diagnoses in 2023 - I’ve had my share!

A stunning sunset over the Sierra tonight and still warm enough for just a jacket!

Today was a Rou ride - I’ve not ridden my Roubaix for so long that I forgot what a great bike it is in so many ways! The gearing is idea for these unfit days in the saddle up in the Spanish Sierra.

Well, the pan European trip didn’t start well - went to start the fully loaded car to find the battery was dead (presumably from too many short journeys in the cold with the heating on full chat) but making good progress and have finally managed to stop for pastries - we’ve promised ourselves we’d do it every time we’ve done the journey and never have.

Finally got the Pain Cave set up and ready for the British Weather! What’s that saying - Winter Miles = Summer Smiles!
