Bici Almeria Cycling

One of bici-almeria's legendary climbs/descents has been re-surfaced. Silky smooth descent into Cariatiz today .. might even make the climb out of the village slightly less hellish

FYI - I am going to be in Almeria from 25-31 May and will be running an informal bici-almeria trip if anyone would care to join me. Staying at Hotel Elba in the city centre and getting some warm (maybe even hot) kms in! Flights are with easyjet from gatwick on Monday 25th at 4pm and back on Sunday at 10am. Hotel is approx 50 euros a night for a twin/double room.

Sorbas, our base, is located less than 50km ride from both mountains over 2000m and the coast, as well as everything in between. The climbing is steady rather than steep and there is some flat!
Accommodation is in a British-run pension on a half board basis, and the use of a mini-van is included in the price. All rides are led by bici-almeria. STOP PRESS - British Airways this weekend announced they will be flying direct from Heathrow to Almeria in 2018. This is a bit of a game changer for bici-almeria as it means guests will no longer need to take the Gatwick redeye. There is however a slight setback for April 2018 as they only fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Anyone wishing to come on the 2018 trip can book BA flight for 3rd April (very agreeable lunchtime flight) and return on 10th April rather than the 4-11 as advertised.

bici-almeria bici-almeria is different to most cycle tours set ups ... i run it and i am just a regular road bike rider who enjoys a good trip away riding with good company, great weather and most important of all fantastic roads with very little traffic
