The Frenchman crossed the line just 12 seconds behind the stage winner, moving up to 8th overall on GC.

Earlier in the day, Vlad van Mechelen put in a brave ride from the breakaway, battling at the front for much of the stage.

On the challenging Montjuïc circuit in Barcelona, Lenny Martinez finished 8th, 3 seconds behind stage winner Del Toro.
A solid performance that moves him up to 9th place in the overall classification Le Tour de France
