Pedri's pre-match conference ahead of the game against PSG :
- “I expect it to be a beautiful battle. I think both teams' midfields struggle the most when they don't have possession of the ball. And I see that the team that succeeds in taking control of the ball tomorrow will have the advantage in deciding the match in their favor. We hope we'll be that team, as we're going through a good period that gives us the ability to achieve that, and we're entering the match with great confidence."
- “We're treating this game as a very tough match against a strong opponent, but it's a game we want to win. We don't see it as a final, because the road to the final is still long. We want to secure the victory and continue our good run of results, and I think facing an opponent of this caliber will be the perfect test to know our true position and our level compared to the best teams in Europe."
- “Rodri gives us a lot when it comes to containing and managing the game. He controls the midfield a lot. He gives me more freedom to go forward because I know he'll lose very few balls. He's a differential player. We've raised the level of the squad. Everyone who's here has a spectacular level. Whoever plays, they all do very well."
- “At Barça, every day you have to prove that you have the level to win. That's the demand. If you lose a match, people talk about a crisis, about how badly they played. You always have to be at your best level. Even if it's Paris, you have to go out to win and be better than them."
- “Ferran? I hope he doesn’t have much luck tomorrow. If he gets the chance to play, I hope he doesn’t score any goals. I’ve already told him that I wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season. We spoke when the draw was made. I have a very good relationship with him. Even though we’re no longer at the same club, we see each other with the national team and talk. I have nothing to tell him, other than that I hope he doesn’t have much luck tomorrow.”
- “Vitinha? He’s a game-changing player, one of the best, if not the best, when it comes to dictating play and keeping possession. On the ball, he brings so much to PSG, and when he’s not there, you really notice his absence. I like facing players like that. You get to test yourself against the best."
- “The team has many players who can contribute to scoring. We’re creating a huge number of chances, and eventually, some of them go in simply because we keep pushing."
- “I get along very well with Anthony Gordon and have a great relationship with him. He’s very easy to get along with. I’ve been really surprised by the quality he possesses. We had faced him before, but I hadn’t seen him up close on a day-to-day basis. He’s going to bring a lot to us.”
- “I think Ousmane Dembélé is a player who's always impressed me a lot. I'd watch him in training, and the things he was doing went beyond the capabilities of any ordinary player. I was always telling him that he has huge potential, and that he's a player capable of making the difference. And I think that when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain, his talent exploded, and the real Ousmane emerged. It's true that he showed his abilities at Barcelona too, but his level had some ups and downs during certain periods. But here, he's gained consistency and stability in performance, which has led him all the way to winning the Ballon d'Or. He's also a dear friend to me."
