Who never skated other trucks than Indys? 😂

✅Independent started manufacturing skateboarding trucks in 1978. Founded by Fausto Vitello and the NHS conglomerate, and based in Santa Cruz, California.

✅It has been considered by many skaters to be the best trucks on the market for decades. With one of the most comprehensive teams of riders, Independent has always been at the forefront of truck development since 1978 when they released their first model, the stage 1.

✅ Half-Cab, variation of Full-Cab, trick invented by Steve Caballero in 1980.

Caballero, the son of Mexican immigrants, was born in San José, California, in 1964. He went against the odds: was born with scoliosis (curved spine), but despite that, he began skating at age 12.
✅An original member of the Bones Brigade, he won championships in the 1980s in California, Germany, and Hawaii, is a good friend of Tony Hawk, and has been a member of several punk bands, including The Faction, Odd Man Out, and Soda, among other projects.

✅ The Vans Steve Caballero was introduced. This was the first signature skate shoe. His sneakers became popular. They featured weather-resistant material, labeled Mountain Edition. But they had a problem: anklets.

✅Skaters would progress faster and faster and for that they would need a shoe that fits better. The Vans Caballero were attractive, but they lacked comfort, due to the ankle straps. What did they do? Cut them in half. And so the idea of the Half Cab was born.

At Fakie Skate we love Tony Hawk, we are going to tell you what was his first skateboard that is exposed in the Smithsonian:

The Smithsonian is one of those museums where you can see everything. Its rooms house everything from Dorothy's slippers from the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and Hershey's chocolate bars from 1943, to fossils from 100,000 years ago. But this past weekend, skateboarding took center stage at this Washington museum, thanks to Innoskate.
Innoskate is a festival that pays tribute to the entire skate culture. This year Bone's Brigade was screened, discussions, skate sessions and the occasional cutie of the caliber were organized. But the real icing on the cake was the Smithsonian's newest acquisition: Tony Hawk's first board.
The legendary skater donated his 1975 Bahne, given to him by his brother Steve. This will be the second board that the museum has of Tony, where a Powell-Peralta that he used in the mid-1980s has been on display since 2011. But in addition, a Rodney Mullen deck will also be added to the exhibition... and many other things.
Innoskate wrapped up last week but Tony Hawk's skateboard will be on permanent display, in the sports section of this museum. What do you think?

If you are a beginner, here is 5 easiest skateboarding tricks for you to learn.

If you follow the order of the article it should be easier for you.

✅ Ollie: The Ollie is the foundation of skateboarding and it is the first trick every skater should learn. (Leave these switch tres reverts for later) It basically consists of poping your tail, jumping and moving your front foot down the nose to level out the board. Once you get the hang of it, feel free to try fakie, which is just an Ollie but riding backwards.

✅ Pop Shove It: Considered the easiest after Ollie and you can learn it first without pop. It's quite nice when you pull it out clean and you can add it to a line very easily. To learn it, start doing it to Backside and shove your board 180 degrees by scooping the tail. FS Pop Shove It is a bit more complicated, but why not give it a try? TRY IT FAKIE TOO

✅ Frontside Ollie: The Frontside Ollie is an Ollie with a 180 degree turn, what a surprise right? To do this trick you must already have some ease with the board and a good Ollie. Swing your shoulders before popping the tail!
✅ Backside Ollie:The Backside Ollie is the opposite of the Frontside Ollie and is somewhat usually more complicated than the FS Ollie due to the fact that it is easier to lose your balance.
✅Kickflip:The Kickflip is one of the most popular and steezy tricks in skateboarding. It consists of flipping the board by flicking your nose with front foot. Youtube Ryan Sheckler 's monster kickflip to get hyped.
