Meet Callum.

Originally from Scotland, now based in Barcelona. He’s been training Muay Thai since 2010 and has been part of the Ruckus crew for the past year.

How it all started:

“I was always into martial arts growing up, mainly thanks to Tekken and Bruce Lee films. I started Karate when I was eight, but after watching Ong Bak as a teenager I knew I wanted to try Muay Thai properly. I finally got the chance when I was at university in 2010.

I’ve been training ever since, although there’ve definitely been phases where I’ve stepped away for months at a time.

Right now the focus is consistency. Training 3–5 times a week, alongside cardio and weights. Less about going all in, more about building a rhythm that lasts.

One of the main things I enjoy about Ruckus is the coaching and the people. The coaching feels intentional here, and it changes how you progress and how you feel about being there.

Training helps me feel more balanced outside the gym. Also makes me seem more interesting than I actually am.”
