Today we had Oli, from Iceland. doing our hills tour. Lots of climbing, as usual, and the highlight was mountain, with the church and the amusement park. The best views of the city!!!!

From time to time I have to come back to . This is my place. Especially on a working day there is no traffic at all. Only my breath broke the silence. Beautiful climb, usually in the sun, not too steep (9 final km at 6%). The perfect climb.

Today we had Julie, from Arizona (USA), doing our tour, this way we showed her the best roads in this fantastic w**e region. And, of course, we also did some climbing!

Today we had Joyce Joy Leite , from Sao Paulo (Brasil) doing our tour. No doubt the road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guixols is the best road for in all of ! Great day on the saddle!

Starting day of La Vuelta 2026 in Monaco! Pogacar in the starting list, 7 uphill endings and no ending in Madrid could be the headings. Tough route with 3 stages especially interesting, Andorra stage 4, Calar Alto stage 12 and Granada stage 20, one per week. Being Pogacar in the starting list, it does not seem there will be much thrill, though! Pogi keeps chasing Eddy Merckx for the best cyclist of all times!

One of my favorite climbs is Monte , between San Sebastian and Hondarribia. What a beautiful climb, what a road, what a view. And then, to complete the ride, I climbed to Erlaitz (also known as Castillo del Inglés or Peñas de Aia), the highlight of this climb is the part with 3,7 km al 11,7% gradient, tremendous. These 2 climbs are also usually included in one of the best classics: San Sebastian Klasikoa. The Basque Country never dissappoints: beautiful roads, steep climbs and green everywhere… Love it!!

A few days in the reminds of the most important sportive in Spain: Quebrantahuesos, a huge event on the third saturday in June. A true Tour de France stage with 205 km and 3 big climbs: Somport, the terrible Marie Blanque and Portalet, being Somport and Portalet border passes between Spain and France. The landscape is stunning. In Hoz de Jaca we find a bronze sculpture with the elevation profile of the race, and also another sculpture of a kid called “El aguador” (the water boy), representing the volunteers helping the cyclists at the top of the last climb. Great event, did it myself three times in 2000, 2005 and 2006 (already twenty years ago!). What a !!

Today we climbed to the iconic . Tough one, steep, and also in a very hot day. Hard job! Funny self-service bar in the middle of the climb. A fridge with cold drinks and some fruit. To pay? Paypal, bizum or cash always trusting the goodwill of the customers. Love these kind of things!

With some rentals in the south part of it was the perfect day to climb to Cote de Begues, like the Tour de France did one month ago. Wonderful memories of that day while climbing to Begues!!

Great day riding northern with Ryan and Andy, from the United States. Demanding ride overlooking the coast for a long while, and also very sad to see the remains of the fires near Tiana just a few days ago. Great day on the saddle!
