🥾 Our final summer holiday blog is here – and this one's a little different! 😊

As we wrap up our summer walking season in the Pyrenees, we have one last story to share. But this time, we're letting one of our guests do the storytelling!

During our final Valle de Tena Explorer holiday of the season, Alys surprised everyone with a wonderful poem capturing the highlights of the week – from stunning mountain views and new friendships to plenty of laughter, funny moments and, of course, lots and lots of food! 🍷🥪

It's a lovely reminder that a walking holiday is about so much more than the mountains.

Where will 2027 take you? 🥾🏔️

Our guided walking holiday dates for 2027 are now available, with adventures across some of our favourite corners of northern Spain.

From the dramatic canyons of Ordesa and the high mountains of the Valle de Tena to the limestone peaks of the Picos de Europa, sunny Cerdanya and the wild landscapes of Benasque, there is plenty to look forward to.

And in 2027 we’ll also be heading south for our new spring walking holiday in Priorat & Beceite, the undiscovered Spain.

Sorry for the radio silence — September has been a wonderfully busy month here at Hike Pyrenees!

We’ve had lots of guests out exploring the mountains with us, so social media has taken a little bit of a back seat while we’ve been busy on the trails.

A wonderful few days exploring the Priorat. A beautiful area full of history, scenery and steep vineyards. We had a history tour of Siruana - the last Moorish outpost in Catalunya, w**e tours of the Escala Dei and cooperative vineyards, evening meals in tranquil rural locations and finished off with an olive oil tasting and a traditional Catalan lunch.

A huge thanks to Paul, Victor and Santi of siuranatours and for sharing their wonderful region with us 🙏

August is a little quieter for our guided holidays, so it’s a good moment to look back at some of our recent adventures in the Pyrenees.

Over the last few weeks we’ve been exploring high summits, mountain lakes, hidden valleys and beautiful villages on both sides of the border, with plenty of good company along the way.

Our latest blog follows a wonderful week exploring Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park with guests from the UK, Ireland and the USA - including one traveller who came all the way from Hawaii - for their first taste of the Pyrenees.

From shady forest paths and crystal-clear rivers to the peaceful Bujaruelo Valley and the panoramic summit of Pico Pelopín, each day revealed a different side of this spectacular corner of the mountains.

There were wildflowers, waterfalls, soaring birds of prey, plenty of sunshine and, most importantly, lots of laughter along the trails.

It may be sweltering outside, but we’ve found that thinking about snow makes it feel at least a couple of degrees cooler… ❄️😅

Our 2027 Snowshoeing holiday dates are now available to book, the trip is on the 21 - 28 February 2027.
