🏥 Qabil Irfan has now been released from the hospital where he underwent surgery last Saturday in Valencia, Spain, and will travel to Malaysia in the coming days to focus on his recovery.

Luck wasn’t on Gavin Sparks side today either, after a weekend where he took a step forward, showing strong pace from Friday, going straight through to Q2 on Saturday and putting in a strong qualifying performance. More to come at Motorland, Ethan! 🙌🏻

A positive to take from today: Johnny Garness-kužel completed Race 1, taking another step forward, building confidence and gaining valuable experience on the Moto3 📈

And we’re still thinking of Qabil Irfan Azlan as he continues his recovery following surgery. You’ve got this, Qabil! 🙏🏻

Johnny Garness and the team have decided that he will not take part in today’s second race, allowing him to continue his adaptation process step by step and without pressure.

After qualifying 21st yesterday, Johnny lined up for Race 1 this morning with the goal of putting more laps under his belt and gaining further experience on the Moto3 bike. Not only did he make it to the chequered flag, but he also found himself fighting for points-scoring positions before eventually finishing 18th.

The team is incredibly proud of the effort Johnny has put in this weekend. For us, this has always been about taking things one step at a time, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.

🚨 Qabil Irfan has successfully undergone surgery after suffering fractures to his left tibia and fibula during yesterday’s FP2 session at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

Following the crash, the Malaysian rider was taken to the medical centre before being transferred to a nearby hospital, where further examinations confirmed the extent of his injuries.

Qabil underwent surgery in the early hours of this morning and is now recovering in hospital. He will remain under observation over the coming days until he is fit and it is safe for him to fly home.

The team and Qabil’s family and management are in constant contact and monitoring his recovery closely. Any further updates on his condition will be communicated through the team’s and rider’s official channels.

GRYD Racing wishes Qabil a smooth and speedy recovery. We’re all looking forward to seeing you back on the bike, Qabil! 💙
